Wow wow wow is all I can say.

Myself and my partner visited on our honeymoon. Both being horse lovers (and riders for 20 years) we were so excited to be able to not only go riding around Ibiza, it also support an amazing cause.

Monique really is a fantastic lady. The work she does and carries on doing as apart of David’s legacy really is wonderful. The love she has for these horses is so warming.

We had the most wonderful time learning about the heard and how they socialise.

We have already been in touch with Monique and will be returning hopefully early next year for a few days to stay near the valley and help her with the day to day running.

Thanks so much again to you guys ❤️

I highly recommend this experience! For the first time in Ibiza I thought of (it was my sisters idea actually) to go horse back riding. After reading some reviews and blogs we instantly knew that Ibiza Horse Valley would be a wonderful choice. And it was indeed. We have learned so much on the valley about the horses characteristics, living in a herd and about all the amazing work has been done and still is being done with so much love to provide these horses a happy life. The hospitality was great, the ride towards sunset was great, the team was great and the horses were great. We did the 4 hours activity and we had some beginner experience in horse riding.
Supporting this organization is very important, so if you are in Ibiza please go for a experience at Ibiza Horse Valley🥰

I have to admit when my girlfriend said we would be doing a horse excursion with rescue horses that lasts 4 hours, starting with getting to know the horses, brushing them and then finally riding them. It’s fair to say I was not that impressed. Don’t get me wrong, I like horses and have rode a couple of times before. But this sounded a little crackers...

How wrong could I have been.... it was the best experience of our holiday. Not only did we learn all about the psychology of the herd, we got a deep understanding of how they behave together.

They treat the horses so well and unlike any other place we have been. After getting to know the horse which was carefully matched based on personality, we had some time to bond before heading out.

I had Clown, the larger horse which loves food - a perfect match!! Super laid back, we slowly walked around the amazing mountains with incredible 360 views.

We did manage to do a little canter or two which was such an amazing experience.

If you are looking for an unforgettable experience, look no further!!

I'm sure that it must have been a wonderful experience. Me and my beloved were super excited and really looked forward to it. We kept the day free and had late lunch or early dinner because our half day experience would be from 5 pm till around 10.

In the end we didn't get to ride at all.. the two other dudes that would join the group were a bit late. We had to wait a little longer, but that's okay, we're not in a hurry on a holiday.

We then met Monique and both us and the guys follow her up the road. After only a hundred meters she pulls up to the side and tells us David just passed us and he put his middle finger up.. in other words the ride is canceled. We were completely flabbergasted, like what? It seems like interpersonal relationship problems got in the way of the day we looked forward to so much and the same rang true for the other guys who had booked a long time ago and were very disappointed.

Monique apologised multiple times and she probably can't help it but contrary to what we read in all the reviews David doesn't seem to give a single f*ck about his horses, his business and his customers.

I was not entirely sure what to expect but when the owners picked us up in their car and we drove towards the valley, I knew it'll be a good experience. The surrounding, nature and location was really nice.
They've started with explaining us everything about horses in general and then went on to tell the story of every horse they had, how they got there in the first place and what sort of character they have. Then we had to give them food, clean and sattle them. I never knew much about horses so felt I've actually learned something :).
As I'm an absolut beginner, I had to make sure to get a "beginner" horse as well. There were only 2 of those and as one of them was apparently a little stubborn, I decided on Polly (if I remember well). Great horse, very gentle but a tiny bit slow, even for me :) The ride itself though was really, really nice and even though the weather wasn't great (it was drizzling and some fog) I'm happy they didn't cancel.

I really love the idea of what they've done with this place, the horses have so much space and seem to be well looked after. I'd definitely go again if I'm around!

I really enjoyed the trip. Monique and David were friendly and knowledgeable and clearly really care about the horses. The ride itself had beautiful views. The saddles are a little uncomfortable and my sister’s ripped whilst riding which wasn’t ideal.

I so enjoyed hearing about the herd’s dynamic and the different horses back stories. Monique is a likeable character, as well as being an engaging speaker.

We had a lovely little group and Monique kindly took loads of photos and sent them to us, which was a nice touch.

Just remember that this isn’t a riding school, it’s a sanctuary for rescued horses. I felt happy knowing my contribution would help towards keeping the horses in an environment they clearly enjoy being in, especially after their troubled backgrounds.

Make sure you bring bottles of water though because we weren’t offered any and it was a very hot day!

Thanks David and Monique for a great day :)

This was hands down the best experience I have had in Spain. However, I would not recommend this for total beginners as it's a bit of a wonky trek and you're in a bareback pad with stirrups, not an actual saddle. For me, I rode Status (an OTTB), and he was fantastic. There were a lot of opportunities to gallop and let me tell you, galloping up a hill atop a valley is one of the most incredible experiences you can have on horseback.

The weather didn't cooperate for us and was super foggy, which made it a bit spooky for the riders since we couldn't see further than the horse in front of us, but David and Monique were both very accommodating in making sure we felt comfortable.

We all started the walk together (6 riders total), then split up for into those who felt comfortable galloping, and those who don't ride. The gallop group had 4 of us plus David, and 3 of us were super confident whereas the final group member kept getting left behind because he either couldn't get the horse to canter or didn't feel comfortable. However, for me, I had a fantastic experience and would go back next time I'm in Ibiza.

This place is amazing. Caters for beginners to experienced. The location is breath taking, the horses truly loved, happy and cared for; the guardians of the horses (Monique & Dave) are experienced, kind, safe and absolutely adore the animals. I cannot rate this place enough. I am an experienced rider and have been to many holiday rides. This by far is the best. I love the fact you don’t just get on the horse and ride it. You are told about them and how to be with them, you groom them and then ride them. A truly euphoric experience.

Visiting Horse Valley was something I had been really looking forward to in the build up to my week in Ibiza and the experience went over and above my expectations. Although I visited on my own I felt perfectly comfortable doing so as Monique and David were warm, inviting and friendly. It was a delight to meet the herd and hear the science behind their relationships with each other. Careful thought went into which horse I would ride given that although I had experience with horses I had actually not ridden for some years; the choice was spot on as Lila was a perfect match for me. Fabulous ride through some stunning countryside with breathtaking views, the perfect mix of gentle trekking and some fast canters.
Thank you Monique, David (and Lila) for this unforgettable visit to your wonderful herd.
I truly hope to return one day.

I loved this place and every minute of the experience. The trail ride was fantastic, with gorgeous scenery, excellent guides and a lovely horse. David and Monique are solid, grounded, knowledgeable and welcoming. I highly recommend this for anyone with even a remote liking for horses. I'd go again in a heartbeat.
