Family fun on a wet day
Feb 2020 • Family
3 generations loved selecting and decorating ceramics - the kids went for fun and pretty pieces, while the mam went for a vase with decorations including the kids handprints. There was a warm welcome and lots of friendly support if and when we wanted it. We were there for a couple of hours, which was great value. We will go back, wet weather or not!

Pottery painting
Aug 2019 • Family
Visited Zana last weekend with my children. What a fantastic bit of morning fun. Zana is a lovely lady who is great with the kids and is very reasonably priced. Kids had a brilliant time and were delighted with the outcome of their pottery. She has a fantastic choice to paint for all age groups. Would definitely recommend going if you're holidaying in Borth or anywhere near there. Only regret is not bringing home my own souvenir.

Fantastic wet day find
Apr 2019 • Family
Really welcoming pottery besides private home, on your way out of Borth, past the golf club. You need to book, as it's a popular venue for children's parties with the locals. We had the pottery to ourselves, chose what we wanted to paint from a wide range of items, shown the colours and I had a lovely afternoon spending time with my teenage daughter. Owner very friendly and gave us tips on what to do locally. No pressure to hurry or painting charges, just paid for the item. It was such a cosy place on a wet day, we had a really lovely afternoon and if in the area again we would go back. Collected our items 3 days later, but if you are short of time, the owner will post. Would definitely recommend.

Fabulous

Spent a fab afternoon pot painting. Zana was incredibly welcoming and helpful - even giving us great advice on where is good to visit and eat locally.

Thanks Zana - and the children loved their end results.

Creating memories
Aug 2018 • Family
Back again with my daughter, what can I say we keep coming back our 3rd visit, a warm welcome every time, nothing is too much trouble for this wonderful welcoming lady. A true gem of a place to sit and create memories with your loved ones. We booked a place via facebook/messanger, a prompt reply and we were booked in. We already knew what we were doing, just choosing the piece we wanted to paint ( which for my daughter is best taken slowly lol) lots of choice and a good range of prices to suit all budgets. Our master pieces were ready a few days later for us to collect, all fired and ready.

Pottery Painting is a regular fixture for visiting grandchildren, not to mention their parents and us. Zana is always welcoming and helpful with techniques and suggestions. A huge range of items to chose from.

A birthday treat for the mature ladies.

Went to paint plates with some reservations but we had a really nice afternoon. My friend and I were the only customers and were welcomed by the owner Zana. It was a relaxed environment and we painted our plates as we listened to the radio and chatted. There was a wide range of items to paint to suit all tastes and pockets. Very relaxing and fun. Zana was on hand to give advice, encouragement and helpful hints if needed. You can book in the evening, this would be a lovely activity for a group of friends with a couple of bottles of wine. Thoroughly enjoyed myself. Thanks.

A charming place
Aug 2017 • Family
We loved painting our pottery, big choice to choose from, prices are very reasonable, my daughter and nephew loved it, they spent great time over their pieces of work, we were shown what to do and then we could create our own masterpiece. Will definitely come again and definitely recommend to anyone

A wonderful activity and a wonderful lady
Dec 2016 • Family
My boy who is 4and Autistic and I, have hired a caravan from a charity The Square Peg Foundation who recommended this business. I called and spoke with Zana and asked my hundreds of questions,Zana was so kind and chatty and we booked for a session. The business is so close to the campsite Cambrian. What a lovely shop/ studio/ environment! All kitted out with all you need and so many objects to choose from, all priced up so you know what your paying for. We have made three objects and they will be "cooked" in the morning, however my son carried it around with him and played with it all day before we dropped it off to be cooked. I can not wait to see the final appearance! Small business but with all the basics covered -card machine and the tea and coffee is cheap and the profit goes towards the Life Boat Charity! How wonderful! I truly recommend this as a calming and relaxing activity and a keepsake to take home as a memory of your holiday. My son was so excited of the vast selection of ceramics and I enjoyed the three layers of painting and lost stress and found a chilled out self in the process. Thank you! Thoroughly enjoyable - would make a perfect rainy day activity
Aug 2016 • Family
In search of things to do whilst staying in Ynyslas, my husband stumbled upon this in TripAdvisors Top Ten things to do for the area. Our 6 year old is art and crafts mad and as the weather forecast had given a few possible rainy days for our stay we booked ourselves in.

Its a quaint little gallery situated in an outbuilding on the owners property and is a real treasure trove of all things arts, crafts and paints. The shelves are adorned with plain pottery ranging from egg cups, mugs, jewellery boxes to large cake stands and platters.

The cost isn't per person or time but per pot that you choose to paint, with a £2 per person fee - and you're afforded a hour or two in which to complete your work - the owner seemed fairly relaxed over timings, as long as there was space to accommodate other bookings. I really liked this cost structure as although our children selected quite expensive pots to paint the range of options are there for everyone - and everyone's budget which is nice to know.

Once painted the pots are kiln dried which takes a few days - and collection arranged so bear this in mind when booking (although the owner is really informative when booking)

The owner is a lovely lady and has lots of knowledge and resources on hand. Lots of 'arty' adults were painting and creating some lovely pieces - our children had an absolutely fantastic time and would recommend this to anyone and everyone.
