Nice setting, small temples, different to the normal ones but apparently quite significant.
Lots of steps up but there are escalators also. Good views and gardens. Worth a visit and a short stop. Small restaurant and shop with rest rooms.

You might as well have a look as it's on the way! The temples are average. But the views are excellent

The interior was the most stunning I have ever seen of all the temples of Thailand, we arrived on a foggy morning and the temples were hidden in the mist. Lucky they have escalators to go up the temples but it’s not so high. Free songthaew to go up from the gates but u have to pay for admission :(

If you think you have seen enough temple, you might be right but this two are very pretty and they are on your way to the top of Doi Inthanon. So if you have time stop here and look at them. If the weather is good you also will have a good view.

We went up to the Kings Pagoda Doi Inthonin National Park, it is a beautiful place, a must see if in the area. There are a lot of steps to the temples, but they have an escalator beside the stairs if you require them. The day we went ( August) it was cold and plenty of clouds, but was still beautiful. If you are there you must venture further up the hill to the Highest point in Thailand. We did did on our Mae Hong Son loop motorbike journey. But we did see plenty of tourist vans there as well.

Very good place to visit with family
Situated on the top of the mountain.
Kind & Queen has different temple front to front surrounding by nice garden.
In winter fog and cloud touches you.
Escalator is there for old people to go to temple from its base.
Enjoyable place.
Food & drinks available.
Maintenance undoubtedly good.

What an incredible architectures!
View from the top is stunning and flower gardens are well maintained. I wish we could spend more time there as we had to rush back to the tour guy. This place is a must-see while in Chiangmai.

Phra Maha Dhatu Naphamethinidon and Naphaphonphumisiri Pagodas are a beautiful tribute (for their 60th birthdays) to the late beloved King and his Queen ... built by the Thai Air Force over 900 days they are a lasting testament to the love of the Thai people to their King and Queen ... each of the two Pagodas is accessed by a covered escalator going up the hill and with steps to walk down ... the detail of the Pagodas is amazing including the bas reliefs inside the Pagodas and on the surrounding walls ... the gardens are beautiful and well maintained ... there are so many great photo opportunities including the great view of the surroundings valleys and mountains ... ฿300 entrance to Doi Inthanon National Park and ฿40 entrance to Phra Maha Dhatu Naphamethinidon and Naphaphonphumisiri Pagodas ... the view is limited during high smoke conditions

The impressive King and Queen Pagodas are located at an elvation of 2100 metres on Doi Inthanon. Access is through a wide paved road, except the last 10 km had broken bitumen. There is a 40 baht entry fee. Each pagoda is located on a separate hill, surrounded by flower gardens. Access up is via an escalator but steps are the only way down. Not for those with impaired mobility, as there does not appear to be suitable access to the attractions. Worth a visit if you are viewing other attractions in the vicinity, as it is a 1 hour 30 minute drive from Chang Mai.
