Beautiful church; in the midst of renovations

We made our way to Rakovnik early in the morning to see St. Bartholomew's Church. The building was in the midst of renovations, so our travel was quite restricted. This was among our first destinations after spending the night in Krasovice. It was obviously a beautifully maintained church and if the restorations go as planned, it will return to its former glory.

Charming church

This is a very charming church in a quaint medieval town. The architecture is beautiful, dating to the 14th century. Don't miss the bell tower from 1495, adjacent to the church. The beauty is that it is not a "touristy" church, it continues to serve the local community as it has for hundreds of years..A worthy stop if you are touring in the central Czech region.
