This is a very special place. Driving over a fairly rough dirt road for about 5 kilometers wondering what we would find, seemingly in the middle of nowhere. Well it was truly amazing. First met the co-owner Ivandro who spoke excellent English, a world traveler who has great stories to share but more so was so welcoming, inviting and informative... More

This is a place to visit without any rush (forget all your city-stress-fast-food-way-of-life). Everything is made with care and quality there. When arriving, you will meet the very hospitable and kind owners. While waiting for your table you can walk in a easy to follow path and get into the nature vibe a little, maybe swim a little on a... Vagafogo is a mandatory place to visit should you want to explore the nature by walking, relax having a tea by trees or enjoying a wonderful brunch covered by complete explanations by nice people that run the place. Deciding to try the brunch.... go hungry! and enjoy the meal!

The drive to this sanctuary is some six kilometers from town on a dirt road that is not easy but passable with a rented car. The sanctuary is run by a family and produces all the foods that are served for the brunch which is delicious. The brunch is available until about 4:30 pm and is reasonably priced at about... More

This is the third time I've been there and I really enjoyed it. This time I took a group of friends from the US and they just loved the variety of bread, jelly, juice etc. It is really worth.

Vagafogo's brunch was incredible! The home-made breads and rolls were outstanding. Almost all were local products from the Brazilian cerrado. The jams and chutneys were out-of-this world. The fruit, yogurt and granola were delicious. The mango and cashew fruit juice they served tasted great. And the home-made whipped cream for the dessert waffle was heavenly. The owners were gracious hosts... More

There was more walking to see the sanctuary than I could do - but the brunch that was prepared for us was fabulous. The chef/owner told us which sauces and other flavors to use with which parts of the meal. It was amazing!

A beautiful forest setting outside the historic town of Pirenopolis. The zip line was great fun but it is also a great place for birdwatching and sighting monkeys. Also an interesting selection of dried fruits native to the region.

Very kind owners who can explain the cerrado plants and animals. They are keeping the area preserved, so it is interesting to see. Awesome brunch with lots of jellies, relishes, and chutneys. Lots to taste.

The Santuario consists of two attractions: the nearby properly maintained walking paths and the brunch-restaurant. We enjoyed both and it took nearly three hours (without a relaxation break at a natural pool). For the walk you need stable footwear and an insect repellent (buy one in Brazil, the European ones do not work properly). No big attractions await you but... More
