The whale watching tour was recommended to me by a friend who had gone last year. I followed her recommendation and was not disappointed. The boat was beautiful, the crew was professional, the margaritas were fantastic! But best of all, we saw so many whales! I appreciated the respect for the ani mals, following the rules of engagement. I also appreciated that the crew took the time to fish floating garbage (a car tire) out of the water. This tour was money well spent.

My brother and sister-in law visited us this month and one of the things they wished to do was a whale watch. We were unable to join them this time but we hooked them up with friends. They absolutely had a blast aboard "Indian Summer", the boat Red Dolphin has for their excursions. They saw many, many whales and were well taken care of by the crew. Red Dolphin is your go-to for sailing excursions. Give them a try next time you're around La Cruz.

We originally went on a whale watching tour and loved it. We saw so many whales and Johnny and crew were great. Based on that we went on the sunset Cruise. That was also great except the dinner. The amount of rice and fish was so minuscule that it was hardly even an appetizer. For a fishing port where fish is cheap this is hardly the area to cut corners. Maybe this cruise should be solely sold as a sunset cruise without dinner as everything else was great. Thanks to Johnny and crew again.

Our party of eight (three generations of our family) had an all-around amazing time on our three-hour whale-watching adventure. Johnny and Yuban were the perfect crew. They kept us well hydrated (with many beverage options), and fed us delicious chips and guacamole as well as burritos. Johnny and Yuban were charming, professional, knowledgeable, and funny. And the whales! Oh my! Babies, mamas, papas. It was quite a show. I highly recommend this company. It could not have been more perfect.

Our group of 4 adults and four children (ages 1, 4 and 7) did the mid day cruise and was one of our best memories of our PV vacation. The captain and his crew paid exceptional attention to the safety and hospitality for all.
The boat is a 45 ft monohull with plenty of room for all. The smaller capacity assures that this is not a "booze cruise" and was very family friendly. But I am sure if your group was large enough to have the whole boat, you would not go thirsty.
We saw numerous whales and dolphins during the cruise in the bay and had a nice swim to the beach to round out the trip. In all of my vacations, this was nothing but a great excursion. Well done folks!

Four of us paid for this cruise based on the flyer the company puts out. It said whale watching but there were no whales. After riding the boat for nearly an hour we asked when we would see whales and the captain said it was not a whale watching cruise despite the flyer saying that was what the cruise would be. Nice people and nice boat but it was over sold, my opinion, as there was very little seating to go around. Just be sure you know what the purpose of the trip is before you pay or before you go.

Dear client, First, allow me to apolagise for any confusion that arose around your booking a trip with Red Dolphin Cruises, we strive to provide a first class service to all our customers as our other testimonials on this site will demonstrate. This is the very first time that we have received this sort of comment. I am happy that you and your friends enjoyed the service that was provided on board including the complimentary drinks and food plus the use of all water sports equipment as required. I am not sure if you are the member of your group that was suffering from motion sickness, I hope the seasickness medication we provided helped. I also hope that you were satisfied with the full refund you received compliments of Red Dolphin Cruises. We have addressed the situation with the staff at paradise Village Resort who have also apolagised for any mis-representation on their part. As you are probably aware the staff were informed not to sell this trip solely as a whale watching cruise but as a lunch/snorkel/swim cruise.

My small group experienced an incredible and unforgettable day with Mike and Johnny; unfortunately, Michelle couldn't join us that day on the boat, but we wish she could have because she's very sweet.

Mike (the owner/driver of the boat) was very welcoming and warm, while Johnny took care of us from the moment we walked on the boat to the moment we got off of it.

We couldn't have asked for more perfect weather; there wasn't a cloud in the sky. We went sailing for a few hours in hopes of finding whales and not only did we see whales, we saw whales up close multiple times and were in the middle of a pod of about 100 dolphins jumping and swimming around the boat. It was beautiful! Mike knows the water and the animals so well that he could navigate where the whales and dolphins were going and directed the boat in that direction so we could be closer when they surfaced.

We anchored and were able to kayak close to the shore of a beautiful beach, too. While we were anchored, he also made an exquisite dinner for our group.

After an already great day, the cherry on top was the perfect sunset we saw heading back to the marina. Mike noticeably takes pride in providing exceptional customer service and is passionate about sailing.

I would recommend a day with Mike to everyone; it's worth every minute and every dollar. He truly created a day of memories for us and we will do it again the first opportunity we get.

Whenever we have friends in town that want to see whales, our go to excursion is Red Dolphin! We've been on Indian Summer before and she's an excellent cruising sailboat. A 45' keel boat with all of the amenities for a great day on the water. The crew will deliver to you, your favorite frosty adult beverage. Freshly made guacamole and chips to snack on while watching humpback whales and dolphins. Then there's the freshly cooked, on board, lunch. This is not a jam pack booze cruise, aka: whale watching with a hundred of your favorite drinking buddies. Nope. It's limited to about 10 patrons and you will receive individual attention from the crew. Whether it's Capt. Mike or Capt. Jonny, and crew, you will receive first class treatment. Our friends always remark about how great the experience was. I will continue to cruise/whale watch with Red Dolphin. Thanks Mike, Jonny, Michelle and crew for your great work in ensuring a quality cruise. We will be back! Adios amigos!

Thanks to Mike, Michelle and Johnny for taking great care of us while we cruised on Indian Summer along the coast to the Marietta’s islands. It was nice to have personalized service on a boat build for luxury not gluttonous partying. We set off in the morning from the wonderful marina in La Cruz and took our time getting out to the islands. Along the way we saw dolphins, cool birds and flying fish! Michelle made the most wonderful snacks, while Captain Mike gave us a bit of local history and Johnny kept our glasses full! When we arrived to the islands, Johnny our deckhand and tour guide escorted us into hidden beach and made sure we made it back safe and sound. Ironically there was a big “party boat” there when we arrived and the people we spoke to from that boat were really jealous to find out we had 10 people on our boat and more than enough equipment for all of us. The second part of the trip brought us around the islands for more time to kayak, snorkel, sun tan, etc. Then Michelle made us a fabulous lunch, homemade fresh fish and Spanish rice with mango salsa – OMG it was amazing. On the way back we had the sails up and enjoyed the views of the bay. Maybe we lucked out by having great folks to share our cruise with, but this was the best tour we have done in all our trips to Mexico. Thanks again to Mike, Michelle and Johnny.
