We have taken almost a dozen high-end, privately guided adventure trips as a family, and I know that the success of these trips begins and ends with the guide. My expectations are very high. I can say without reservation that our Agean Outdoors guide, Nondas, is an elite-level guide. He was extremely knowledgeable, personable, confident, experienced, resourceful, cultured and, perhaps most important, he is friendly and fun to be with. The trip ran like clockwork, and the one small issue that did arise through no one’s fault, was handled quickly and to our complete satisfaction. He spent time with us prior to the trip to plan the itinerary, and it was exactly what we hoped it would be. We are already thinking about our next trip to Greece and to being with our friend, Nondas

My other half is a corporate executive in a multinational company, which means that our family had to travel A LOT during the last ten years! Last year he got assigned in Greece, for which i am sooo grateful! it is an amazing country, with overwhelming beauty and kind and generous people. The Greek government managed to handle the crisis with extreme caution and efficiency, something that made us want to see more of the country, despite the overall bad situation and reluctance. A friend of ours recommended Aegean Outdoors, in order to paly it on the safe side. We browsed their website (awesome site) and found a tour that seemed to match our criteria, Greece Active Tour. We wanted a dedicated guide and a personalized service, which was somehow kinda obvious even from the first email from them to us! We explored some gorgeous parts of Greece with our guide Marilena, in a away that we would have never managed to do so, if we were on our own. Marilena is the type of girl that eagers to tell you everything about each and every corner we visited and she has a firm my heart even until today, whenever we meet for coffee! :) If i start writing step by step what we experienced and loved about this trip, i will never stop.. it was a trip that literally changed our lives, made us consider staying in Greece for the rest of our days and we thank Aegean outdoors and Marilena for that!

Our group booked a private tour with Aegean Outdoors. We visited Athens, Nafplia, and Meteora with our tour guide Archelaos and then had Aegean arrange for travel on to Santorini which included transfers, hotel, a private catamaran trip plus a ferry transfer on to our next destination. Archelaos was a great guide and made sure everything ran smoothly. Aegean Outdoors fulfilled all my expectations of what I hoped to see and do during my visit to Greece. They worked with us to develop an itinerary that included the perfect blend of touring and activity. I would not hesitate to recommend them!!!!

Nandos and the team at Aegean Outdoor Adventures did a truly outstanding job planning a thoughtful and varied itinerary for our group of ten adventurous women! Nandos varied our trip to include biking, sea kayaking, sailing, and hiking (fabulous) with Greek cultural experiences such as cooking lessons on Tinos and wine tasting on Santorini. We also toured historic sites including the Acropolis and Akrotiri. Nandos was very knowledgeable and shared detailed information ranging from mythology to modern Greek politics. We all appreciated his attention to detail—all hotels and transfers were extremely well organized. We also appreciated his hard work planning themed meals along the way—ranging from traditional Greek vegetarian fare to seafood! Nandos was also flexible and changed plans due to unforeseen issues—such as an unexpected strike. Everyone in our group appreciated the great customer service provided by the tour companies (such as the E-bike tour of Athens and the Santorini catamaran sail) that worked with Nandos and his great intern Annie. I would highly recommend Nandos and the team at Aegean Outdoor Adventures for a custom tour—truly excellent!

My husband and two grown children (ages 25 & 28) did a 10-day, modified Ultimate Greek Experience with Nondas as our guide. The whole experience was spectacular! We had never done a 100% guided travel experience before, having previously designed all of our own travel. From start to finish, Nondas was fun, informative, attentive to our needs, flexible, and a wonderful person to spend time with. He connected with each and every one of us, and was sensitive to each of our particular needs and interests. The trip was organized to be the perfect combination of history, archeology, and outdoor activities, from the city of Athens to kayaking in the beautiful Aegean Sea. Nondas also chose perfect restaurants and seemed to have a sixth sense about our tastes as he always ordered the perfect, most delicious dishes and just the right amount. We all agreed that this trip was the perfect introduction to Greece, and we look forward to going back and exploring some of the lesser known corners of this wonderful country.

I used Agean Outdoors for a private tour of Athens, Nafplion, and Meteora as well as to arrange our time and transfers to Santorini. The exemplary service they provided exceeded my expectations and our guide Archaelos was a pleasure, he was very knowledgeable and always made it important that we had a good time
The trip was organized to be a combination of history, archeology, and outdoor activities, from the city of Athens to kayaking in the Aegean Sea and hiking in Meteora. Our guide also chose excellent restaurants and quickly got a sense of our tastes and always ordered the perfect, most delicious dishes
The local guides we used were excellent, specifically Katarina at the Acropolis and Alex for the sea kayaking. The arrangements for the islands and the hotel in Santorini were over the top, especially the private boat charter they arranged.
We happened to encounter several issues with our rental cars; Nondas and Archaelos really stepped up and took care of things right away so there was no serious negative impact
All in all, it was a wonderful travel experience and a fabulous introduction to Greece,

Absolutely loved the Greek Island Hopper tour with Aegean Outdoors! What a terrific way to see so much of Greece in one week, (Athens, Tinos, Naxos, Santorini). Our guide, Archelaos was terrific. He did a wonderful job guiding our unique group of 6 and I especially loved his knowledge of the local plants. The hotels were all very nice and the food was amazing! The hiking was beautiful and my absolutely favorite part. Active travel is the best way to travel and if you are interested in visiting Greece I highly recommend Aegean Outdoors.

I must say before this trip; I didn’t know much about Greece. But thanks to Aegean, I was able to experience so much of the culture, people and especially the countryside. Aegean made all the arrangements for our large group of friends to have a fabulous multisport adventure. We were able to summit Mt Olympus, go whitewater rafting, explore Meteora, and lots of great hiking all over including Vikos Gorge. We stayed in fascinating locations like a mountain refuge, small hotel in a mountain village, or a trendy hotel in Athens. The restaurants were wonderful and full of variety all with a local flare. Our guides for the trip were Nondas and Archelaos – guys knew everything about everything and certified in stuff like rock climbing and sailing! A wealth of information and always there when you needed them. It was a joy to have them along as the trip wouldn’t have been the same and I always felt safe in all our activities with them. We also had Katerina as a private tour guide who personally took us through Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum. Teaching as she went and answering all our questions. Even our bus driver Dimitri was amazing. This was a trip of a lifetime and for me, I honestly don’t see how it could have been better.

If i start writing step by step what we experienced and loved about this trip, i will never stop.. it was a trip that literally changed our lives, made us consider staying in Greece for the rest of our days and we thank Aegean outdoors and Nontas for that! We have been on many adventure trips but this one was on top! (Athens-peloponnese-kefalonia-meteora) The people was so nice and the food...oh my ...the food was the real traditional Greek cuisine. can't wait to visit again Greece and continue with some new adventures this time .

A dream came true for our family, with Aegean Outdoors’ amazing trip “Greek Ultimate Experience”!
Everything was perfectly organized, from the first day until the last one.
Taking into consideration that we took this tour this summer (living all this COVID-19 madness), we could never believe that we would feel so safe.
Our guide Maria, was following all necessary measures and guidelines, something that made us feel comfortable throughout the trip.
Our accommodations were all following the suggested guidelines and we were always transferred in private vehicles too.
As for the locations,activities and of course the food, they were all beyond our expectations!
Everything was perfectly organized, from the first day until the last one.
