A local microbrewery for a beer tasting and Christmas food smorgasbord, that's about as good as it gets! the microbrewery's got some really good beers, but to my surprise, I really liked one of their Ales the best. They had one with a hint of nutmeg, cumin, carnation vanilla, and freshly chopped orange peel. That one I really enjoyed, several of them.

We had a chance to stop in after our Princess Cruise Tour. All we had was a quick beer before we had to get back to the ship in Nynashamn harbor. . It seems that in every country up here the folks like their beer, a tradition passed down from the early Vikings I presume.

Good beers that gain their names from the local seaside area. Many to try and they are all delicious!

Our cruise ship docked in Nynashamn and, while many (most?) folks took the one hour train trip to Stockholm, we took a bus ride around the cute town of Nynashamn then wandered around a bit before joining a tour of this microbrewery at 2pm. After a short tour, which goes through the basics of beer brewing, and also provides a view of some of the issues microbrewers face in Sweden where a couple large brewers have a semi-monopoly, we had a seat in the sunshine of Angbryggeri's small outdoor patio and enjoyed a couple flights - sampling 12 of their current brews. We stayed until 4pm, when the brewery closes, and then had a leisurely stroll back to the ship. Highly recommended if you are "castled-out" and want a bit of a break on your Baltic... or if, for some other reason, you are in Nynashamn!
