The nearby town is like San Miguel de Allende was before all the tourism took over. Lovely place with nice hotels and restaurants. The mines are definitely worth the visit, films like Zorro was filmed here it's a real ghost town with the abandoned mines...More

Abandoned mine and ruins of manor house. Beautiful setting with lots of Charolais cattle. Interesting remains of processing area. Take the hike down to enter the mine and go through the tunnel, about 150 feet underground. Eat lunch at the restaurant at Posada de las...More
