Recently travelled to San Sebastian on a long weekend trip and decided to explore some surrounding areas. My partner and I decided to take the trip to Zumaia and explore the coastal walk with Angel. It was superb! He was great company for the couple of hours we spent walking this stunning coast, provided great insight into the areas natural history that spans upto 16 million years of evolution and also showed up some fantastic local places to eat and drink. Couldn't recommend it more!

My husband and I really enjoyed this three hour tour off the beaten path to discover royal parks and palaces and just enough history to give it all some context. Angel exposed us to many sides of life here, which was fascinating. The parks are lovely and a welcome respite from the tourist crowds. Pacing was perfect. Highly recommend this tour.

Angel's tour took us places that we would not have found on our own. It was a great experience, some nice exercise and educational about the geography.

It is not every day that you take the longest walk of your life. That's what our guest Angel offered us today. For the not so sportive amongst you don't be afraid. The longest walk is not in distance but in time as walking the amazing cliffs of Zumaia takes you in a journey worth 40 million years, You will see dinosaurs, how they vanished, their successors and a lot more just looking at layers and layers of stone. Never thought geology could be so fun. Thanks a lot Angel for this beautiful ride !

Hi Christophe, Thanks for reviewing. I'm very glad that you enjoyed our walk of 16 Ma years and that you learnt so much about the Earth's history. It's great for me that you found our experience to be fun! You even remembered the picture of the dinosaur! Hopefully you'll see the landscape in a different way now, as a product of the past events. Kind Regards

Angel was a wonderful tour guide. First we visited Old Town Zumaia and got detailed explanation of his historical events like inquisition impacted buildings. Then we went overland above GeoPark
To look down on coast before we did descent. Angel very good at explaining and giving both historical and geological conditions. We had a great time!

Angel has led us through the streets and the hills of the town before taking us on a time travel through the flysch areas and beaches around Zumaia.
He's very knowledegeable about the geology and the history of the area and a great and very friendly tour guide.
The tour ended with a pintxo and delicious soup of dried/fermented octopus, specialty of the town.
Highly appreciated and recommendable

Zumaia and it's surrounding is beautiful and Angel is great guide. He is educated and very well informed about everything so you could enjoy a lot of information and exquisit surrounding. Angel took us on a trip through and around Zumaia, history of the village and history of the Earth. We visited a nice pub to taste famous octopus soup and some txacoli wine. A five star experience and a tour with a value of 60 million Euros... How’s that possible? Apply and you’ll learn by yourself 😊

This tour was amazing! Highly recommend it to anyone visiting San Sebastián and would like to find out more about the nearby town, Zumaia! Our guide, Angel, was really passionate about explaining the geological concepts to us, making it easy for us to understand the wonders of this flysch formation. The walk was easy (not too exerting) at just the right pace. Ponchos and walking sticks were provided. In addition, Angel treated us to this wonderful pintxo bar. Thank you Angel! We had a great time! 👍🏻
