I returned to Civitella a few months after the last visit, on the occasion of my wife's birthday. We had fun with our children to cross the narrow "Ruetta", one of the narrowest streets in Italy. The whole town of Civitella is worth a visit, however.

It's a very narrow street, nothing more, nothing less.
A good place for photos, but it's actually not much more

Walking to the Fortezza can be fun and we encountered the Ruetta, presented as the smallest street in Italy. It's a small passage that would entertain all. Unless you get stack!

Nice walk through the nooks and crannies of this little town It is such a different kind of atmosphere than we are used to here in the USA.

La Ruetta is one of the narrowest streets in Italy and, in any case, one of the best preserved. Also suggestive is the angled "deviation" at the end of it, rising from below.

A 40 centimeter hole between the houses, not very visible, certainly used to make it difficult for enemies intending to climb the fortress. Very suggestive to travel both uphill and downhill.

Historic street which has remained as an elective peculiarity of Civitella for being only 40 cm wide. it is considered the narrowest street in Italy (Vicolo Bacidonne in Città della Pieve in Umbria is slightly wider...) and was built for defensive purposes to slow down transit.
