Don't visit Picos de Europa! There's nothing to see here! Only a few hours from Madrid, Picos de Europa is a stunning place. The mountains are beautiful. The hikes are fantastic. We stayed overnight at one of the refugios (Vegarredonda) within the park and had...More

Wow what a national park! So beautiful, we hiked the amazing Ruta del Cares whilst staying in Posada de Valdeon in our motorhome. We will definitely be visiting and exploring more in the future!

The long drive up to the park on the steep narrow roads can be a bit scary for the driver and passengers but worth it for the scenery. My wife and I did not hike - we only did a little exploring at the top...More

A stunning place to spend a week hiking in the mountains amid green fields, trees, dramatic rock faces, crystal clear rivers and pools and the constant chime of cow bells. Idyllic.
