Dear visitor, thank you for your review about the castle of Cuéllar. We must make guided tours in the castle because there is a High School inside, so the guide accompanies the visitors and explains the castle in Spanish. There are audioguides or brochures in...More

It looks nice from the outside but we never made it into it. Entrance is via guided tour only (about 50 minutes long) but we missed the 1pm tour by a few minutes and the castle closed at 2pm. The following tour wasn't until the...More

Dear visitor, We are sorry about you can not visit the castle because you missed the last tour guide. The wall of the city can be visited by yourselves paying the ticket in the Castle. We do not think the problem was that "the staff...More

We went there last summer, the place was great. Inside the actors played their parts really well, as they tell you the story of the Duke who lived there and also the commoners. It was quite an eventful day.

We have passed this way many times but alas the place has always been closed, obviously we should have pre-planned our visit better. The town walls have had extensive repairs since an earlier visit and that's good to see things s they were.

We called at Cuéllar by chance to break up our drive from Madrid to Valladolid and were pleased we did. This impressive building is the highlight of this sleepy town. Built in Gothic and Renaissance styles between the 13th and 18th centuries, it received an...More
