We will visit the Plaza de San Pablo, one of the best known squares in Valladolid. Its name is from the church of San Pablo, it is believed that its construction was between the years 1445 and 1468.<br>Then we will go to Ribera del Duro, when we arrive we will visit Curiel Castle which stands on a rocky hill, at the highest point in the province of Valladolid, which watches over the Douro Valley and, at the foot of the hill, the town that gives its name to the castle. The castle stands on a hill next to the Horcajo stream, which discharges into the Douro. We will finish the tour with a visit to the Protos Winery, carried out by Rogers Stirk Harbor + Partners, it is an industrial project where the winemaking process is seen, from the grape harvest to the bottling of the wines. Most of the internal space of the winery is underground, here the thermal mass of the soil is used to keep the wine fresh.

Not worth the drive - if you are there see it but don’t count on the tour. 45 minutes of talk with no useful historical info. From far the Castel is beautiful- from close, its cheaply restored with wrong materials. Somehow I feel it was built as a castle but not to serve as

The very well preserved machicolated ramparts make an imposing view of this large, thin fortress. The interiors have little to offer. That´s probably why a modern wine museum was built inside the walls. It makes a good starting point if you´re visiting the wineries. Here, you

It's only possible to visit the castle by guided tour which means you have to follow 50 people around trying to listen to one guide with a loudspeaker. The guide was not very informative (when we could hear him) and told us just things we could find out in any web site e.g.
