Fun restaurant and cheap
Nov 2020 • Family
We’ve been here a few times now and while it’s not a 5 star place, it’s an enjoyable lunch.

The food is best described as ‘Rustic’.

Mainly seafood. They also have eel in the sweet brown sauce, crab soup and whole grilled fish all under 1000. Free flow green tea.

The servers come out with the meals and scream out your number. They accommodate Gaijin and will find you.

It’s usually busy to crowded as the locals come here as it’s a great deal.

Great Seafood
Sep 2019
We had our first meal here in Hokkaido. The eatery is located near the entrance of the Yoichi Nikka Distillery (not the carpark). It is on the second floor, there is parking available next to it. There is also a liquor and grocery store on the first level.

In the restaurant, there are display of the available food. Choose your food and make payment. Free seating, and wait for your order number to be called. The grilled fish was very tasty and inexpensive.

Hokken, eel and tuna are delicious
Sep 2019 • Couples
We arrived early for brunch as our hosts knew how busy the restaurant gets at lunch time. The dishes were excellent - fried hokken, eel in sauce on rice, tuna sushi, squid sashimi, and a mixed fish sushi. We drank tea and beer. It was delicious, great value and very filling.
When we left the queue stretched down the stairs and into the street. So get there before 11am if you don’t want a long wait.

Fresh seafood, affordable prices!

This eatery is on the second floor, just around the corner from the Nikka Yoichi Distillery so we came for a meal after the tour. It's also really near the JR Yoichi station!

We had the salmon ikura Don which was really fresh. Requires payment when you order at the counter, instead of getting the bill after the meal. There wasn't an English menu, but communication was quite easy as they had those artificial food models showing which food was still available.

I wouldn't come all the way from Sapporo for this but if I were in the area, this is probably the best :)

Well-cooked and superb value

A nice place for a quiet meal after visiting the distillery.

We had the Hokke and Ikura-don sets and boy were they good. Fresh, generous and fuss-free.

Good fun
Jul 2016 • Family
Here they sell fresh seafood and the restaurant's upstairs. Everything is in Japanese, so it's good fun to order your food and then get it delivered. Delicious fresh seafood on rice. Very local eatery.
