If you’re on the fence about booking a cat skiing trip in Niseko, do it!! And book with Niseko Photography and Guiding. You won’t regret it. My group spent a day cat skiing with two NP&G guides and are still reliving how much fun we had. The guides picked us up from our hotel in Hirafu and drove us out to a private mountain, where we had a beacon and cat safety lesson and then hopped in. It was snowing ridiculously hard (yay!), and the cat driver just plowed through it and thoroughly entertained us. Once on the mountain, we did a warm up run and then hit some fun terrain. The runs featured various lines, so whether we wanted trees, pillows, or a bit of open space, we could find it. The guides did a fantastic job of listening to our feedback and tailoring each successive route appropriately. And we were especially happy to have two guides, as one guide was able to document our adventure, while the second stayed back to make sure we had someone to clean up yard sales (which definitely happened). A few days after the outing, we received a link with photos and got to relive the day all over again (the photos are worth the price alone) and make all our friends jealous. I highly recommend this company and can’t wait for my next Niseko visit so I can book them again.

Our family travelled to Niseko for the first time and wanted to have some professional photos from the trip as well as do some sightseeing. So I connected with Niseko Photography after reading their good reviews. Indeed we were not disappointed!

Emily was very responsive and patient in answering our questions before pre-arrival. They were also very efficient and returned our photos within 3 days. Our photographer Yoshi is very knowledgeable about the area and showed us many interesting places that we wouldn't have gone if not for them.

Overall, it was a very pleasant experience for us!

Our guide was fabulous. Incredibly friendly, knowledgable and showed us all the best off piste runs. It was our second day skiing and Jaryd enabled us to get to know Niseko and the ski area so much quicker than if we'd been left on our own. I seriously doubt we'd have found half of the fabulous powder tree runs without him!

He catered for all our skiing levels (from Canadian ski instructors through to 75 yr old Dad's!). We'd highly recommend this company. The photos were a pleasant surprise as we'd book for the guiding and didn't want to be waiting around for photos. There was no waiting and we have some fabulous photographs as a memento! Thanks!

Great team with Darren as the guide and chief photographer. Very helpful assistant to help us clear the snow path. The photos were good, but more importantly, they made it a fun and unforgettable experience. Thanks Elsie and Amy for helping us find a good make up artist too!

This is our second time using Niseko Photography and the second time we've had a wonderful guide and day of skiing. We had the most phenomenal day with Zach, our guide. My husband, son and I along with Zach went to Rusutsu for the day. Zach was incredibly knowledgeable about where to take us on mountain for the freshest untouched powder, he was also an incredible skier and helped us navigate through snowy, windy deep powder. He took lots of photos of our family and we are looking forward to seeing them -they were incredible the last time we used Niseko Photography. Thanks to Zach we had a wonderful day!!

Just want to give a shout-out to Zach and Elsie from Niseko Photography. We had an amazing back-country experience and felt totally safe the whole time which was important for me and my 11 year old boy, it was his first experience. Photos were epic as was the powder we found on the day.

We have been to Niseko several times and this is first time we booked a 2 hour tour in the hirafu area. Our photography guide Ben is very nice, enthusiastic and took lots of photos for us. We got our photos in a week via online download. Those photos are so beautiful, lovely and captured our fun moments. We will definitely book for a out piste photography tour next time we come : a tour guide who leads you to explore places that are not confident to go alone, and also is a photographer who captures the precious moments for you, isn't it just perfect?

Thanks Elsie and Amy for very responsive email correspondences and explanation. I got a chance to visit the Basement shop as well. Talked to Darren and Amy. Very helpful and service-minded folks which is a big plus.

I took a 6 hour snowboard tour with Charlotte on the Niseko United. We covered three of the four resorts in 4 hours and got many amazing photos. Charlotte is very professional and won't mind taking more photos of your choices. She also very flexible, and helped taking photos of my and my fiancee and friends afterward. Impressive photos come in an email about a week later.

I also took this opportunity to take a prewedding session with my bride-to-be. We had the 4 hour session with Amy who is super energetic and helpful. We were hoping for a clear weather but unfortunately it didn't happen. Snow pretty hard. It was -10c with snow. However, we ended up with amazing photos. Quite rare for us who come from tropical country of Thailand. Amy was very professional and cheerful. We had a great time with her despite harsh weather conditions.

Thank you Niseko Photography team for a great experience and amazing photos. ^^

This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Niseko. No point going all the way to Japan to stay on the groomed slopes - so definitely go for some backcountry skiing to experience the amazing powder Niseko has to offer.
Our guide was friendly, enthusiastic and genuinely happy to show us around and ski with us and was great at spotting good runs to take us to while taking some photos of us skiing.
You're pretty much in charge of your day - so if you'd rather climb more and ski less (or vice versa) or ski more and take less photos (and vice versa) completely up to you!
I definitely recommend Niseko Photography & Guiding - very professional and friendly staff with some good knowledge of the resort and backcountry.

Absolutely 5 stars - had an amazing few days with Niseko Photography and Guiding. They know the area like the back of their hand from Niseko to Rusutsu and they set us up with the fresh tracks for both days. We came away with some amazing photos to remember the trip by. When we go back next time we will definitely be re-booking.
