I have a great lesson with Jeff. He was easy going and provided help and insights which really helped my skiing. On top of this he also knows the Niseko Mountain which meant we were also skiing on the best parts of the hill.

Pros: Great guides, timely pickups and drop offs
Cons: Very short <5 minute runs, low vertical, few runs
NOASC's website said 700m vertical runs, I'd be surprised if we did 200m. The runs were 3-5 minutes long on low angle terrain at Iwanai. It was a fun time, but the cost was far too expensive for the experience. I contacted NOASC about their website's stated vertical and they admitted it was incorrect, but did not offer an accommodation or explanation. We had 8 very good skiers and boarders and I think everyone was disappointed. If you are looking for an easy day you'll be happy, if you're looking for cat accessed fun terrain, it comes up very short.

My Son and I had private lessons with two great instructors who brought challenge and fun to the day. I was helped with carving and short radius turns while my son was taken back country and harder stuff.

Get more out of your ski time with these guys. you won't be disappointed.

P.S. they will pick you up from your hotel.

Took lessons with them in 2015 & 2016. Anna was my instructor. Very kind and affable.
First time we stayed at Niseko One Towers, she came over in her van, brought the skis, boots poles and went over to Hirafu side to ski. On our last day, she collected the skis back for us so we did not have to make an extra trip.
For 2016-2017 season, she came over to Hirafu side to teach. Precise clear instructions, able to guide and find out what was wrong and correct it. NOASC offers pretty reasonable prices for ski lessons.
Thank you Anna!

We (family of five -mum, dad, two teenagers, and a seven year old) went white water rafting with Noasc on a Saturday in early July 2016. We had a great morning out.

For most of the family it was the first time in a raft, although we're all fit and active. Noasc pitched its service perfectly for us.

We had Hugo, our fun-loving and very experienced English speaking guide, who took us thoroughly through the safety procedures and taught us the basic skills.

The scenery from the river was beautiful and we happened to choose a nice day for it. Weather was warm and dry.

The 'rapids' on the river were Category 1 and 2 (i.e. tame). Provided just enough challenge for our party.

The equipment was all evidently well-used but serviceable. I would rethink whether I actually needed a wetsuit in future. I was hot for the duration of the trip.

We spent about 90 minutes in total on the water, which included time for horseplay, and a brief stop to 'swim' some rapids. Getting kitted up and getting to the river also took time. We arrived at the Noasc HQ at 09:15 and were done by lunchtime.

The cost was around ¥5800 each for the 'adults' and ¥5000 for the seven year old. Not a cheap morning out, but I thought it provided reasonable value for money. You can buy a CD with professional photos for ¥3000.

Overall, noting criticism by previous reviewers, I'd say this was a fantastic family outing, but you need to manage your expectations: if it's major thrills and spills you're after, go to a theme park.

My 2nd time on their Cat Ski tour and was great. Wasnt like epic snow but NOASC always gives a good service and it is overall a good ski day on a mountain resort just for the few participants. Be aware this is for BEGINNERS as the more hardcore riders may be dissapointed as yes it is CatSki BUT its in a resort/slopes so nothing really steep and challenging. It is a great intro to powder skiing.

Noasc provide skis and boots in One Niseko Resort Towers. It appears at first a good service and they bring the gear to the hotel BUT
You may be asked to set your own bindings and in fact may be safer if you do.
If you want to swap and downgrade your skis - they do not refund the difference.

Gears old, rafts are old, life jackets are old, helmets are old. River is incredibly boring.
If you're going to go on that river you might has well go with a company that gives you newer gear.
