Plenty of restaurants and shops directed towards tourists, both local and foreign. Food on offer is mainly western (although most places serve some kind of local cuisine), lots of souvenir shops selling pretty much the same stuff.

We ate and we shopped! Some shops here carry interesting kitschy ( or to others tacky?) souvenirs like Goya slippers and limited Okinawa edition Popeye Goya, Hello Kitty and Snoopy. Good quality tee-shirts!
