My 16 year old and I had 5 days skiing in Pamporovo. He was a beginner and I'd not skied for 20 years but felt fairly confident and wanted to learn more. Communication with Steve's Ski school was excellent. They always got back to me very quickly when I had a question even before we'd actually booked officially with them. They were so helpful.
As others have said on here the rental area is extremely efficient. Once they've sorted out your skis and boots on the first day, every day they spot you at the entrance and before you've sat down to take your shoes off your boots have appeared and your skis are outside on the rack ready for you. Same when you come back in the afternoon your boots appear by magic whilst removing ski boots. They also help you to get them on if necessary.
We'd booked 2 hours of lessons for four days 10 til 12 and our instructor Kaloyan I believe is how you spell it was AMAZING with us. My son really made excellent progress. I recommend having 2 hours instead of just one. The highlight was when he told me he was proud of me :) He was very patient and really took time to explain why such moves we were doing were important.
The young lady who does all the admin in the shop is so helpful too giving us tips on how faster to get to them from our hotel.
I recommend anyone going to Pamporovo to hire equipment and book lessons here.

The best service experienced anywhere in Europe. Your boots are brought to you. Your shoes are taken away and stored. Your skis are racked outside just waiting to put on. After skiing, your skis are cleaned and racked for you. Sit down to take off your boots. Your shoes appear. If you are struggling to put on or take off your boots. Help is there immediately without having to ask. Equipment hire and ski service is excellent. Many other ski shops around Europe should spend a week here training. Ski Inclusive would like to thank everyone at the ski school for their fabulous assistance with our group of disabled and able bodied skiers. You are just the best!

Steve and his team are out of this world from the moment you walk in to the final goodbye nothing ever seems too much for them to help always with a smile on their faces. My whole family of 11 in total grandparents, adults & grandsons used them this February for 6 days and Julia, Steph & Jordan were brilliant in making our holiday a brilliant experience. It’s the second time my wife and myself have used the school and wouldn’t consider using any other school while in Pamporovo thank you to you all.

We used this place last trip to Pamporovo in 2017. This year I booked weeks in advance - 4 sets of premium and a 2 hour lesson at 10am on our first day. The night before the owner emailed me and said she had to change the booking from first thing in the morning to lunch time. This meant a wasted morning and we were unable to change my son’s lesson with another school, so he had to come with us. The lesson was a waste of time because the instructor could not get my son to try skiing and took him down the ski lift, leaving us to ski down alone. We ended up paying for a 2 hour lesson but having about 1/2 hour. When I raised this with the owner she was very rude, arrogant and made clear she did not care about customers who only booked one lesson because she had lots of people who booked more lessons so why should she bother to keep to a booking for one lesson. Not even a hint of an apology.
We went to Black Horse for lessons for the rest of the week and found them really helpful, polite and excellent. In fact within 2 hours my son was doing blue runs with Roman from Blackhorse.
It makes me sad to write this review because the men who hand out skis and boots are really lovey and helpful. Such a shame the owner, Stefani, does not care about customers.
Next time we will use Black Horse

I'm using the services of Steve ski rental for few years already and they are always with the best quality of the equipment and great service of the people working there. They wait for you at the front door and taking care of you.
This year my wife and son started ski lessons and I want to share how good was Viktoria (Viki). Even the boy is just 4 years old, she was very good in teaching him and speaking to him in a language he can understand well what he needs to do.

Today was our last day in Pamporovo. Our son had morning sessions with Ski School Steve for the whole week with the most caring and enthusiastic instructors, who always had his best interest at heart. Our little boy now has great confidence and ability all thanks to them! They truly are amazing from the friendly and flexible people who organise the lessons to those who provide you with your equipment with smiley faces every morning! We cannot thank them enough and will be back to see them very soon! Certainly made our holiday a very memorable one!

Very bad experience from an instructor that didn't want to try and was bored. He wasn't methodical at all and although I am a beginner we went to a red slope to teach me the parallel turn. Fortunately i escape without an injury. Probably i was unlucky and it is an exception to the rule but the school is responsible for their instructors.

I have visited Pamporovo ski resort twice and recommend it, but what made it a memorable experience was the excellent service we received at Steve Ski school. You find the school at the foot of the resort. They have a wide range of equipment for rent as well as experienced ski instructors. They also serve refreshments, coffee, beer and basic food. There is a small shop inside as well to purchase masks or other minor equipment.

We travelled in a group of 50 of all ages from kids to pensioners including 14 people with disabilities and Steve, Stoyan and a all of the staff and instructors were 1st class, from choosing the right equipment and helping to get boots on and off, to beginners lessons and advanced lessons they were excellent and real value for money, nothing was too much trouble. We are looking to go back to Pamporovo later this year and again early next year and won't look further than Steves. Thanks to you all and see you again soon xxx

Hiring ski equipment from Steve's was one of the highlights of our skiing holiday! The service is amazing and the equipment was excellent. The location is perfect too. At the end of a long day to have your boots taken off and your skis, poles and helmet whisked away while your own snow boots are there waiting for you is such a treat. It makes a skiing holiday painless! Thanks Steve.

Hi! I am going to Pamporovo in january 2019 with my father (74 years old, a healthy man) and my son (7 years old). I would like to know if there are activities that are suitable for them, Our main goal there in Pamporovo is to have a SNOW experience, since we are from Brazil (it doesn´t have to be necessarily ski or skiboard, but a horseride or husky ride in the snowy forest, for example). We would like to see the nature, skidoo maybe, taste typical food, see typical festivals, etc. Is there anything like this in Pamporovo for a 7 and a 74 year old? Thank you!

For the 7 year old it is very safe & you can get sledges from Steve & they can use the nursery slope opposite. There is a team of Huskies available & if you speak with them in Steve's they will advise on the best Skidoo hire. They will also advise on food, our favourite place is Boheme on the mountain which you can either walk up to or take a lift to the top & then walk down. A few of the hotels have decent spas. There is 10-pin bowling in Monastry & you also have the hot pools at Devin nearby - again ask in Steve's for advise & help in organising. I'm sure you will all have a great time - we have been 8 times now & are booked again for February
hi. can someone please tell me if the ski school in pamporovo is strict with ages. we go as a family in jan and my girls are 7 and 9. i would prefer if we were all kept together rather than being split up.

Would you say it is better to book Steve School yourself or go with a package holiday. Im trying to figure it all out and get the best prices and not sure which way is best , package or individally doing , flight , hotel,ski school with lifts etc

Me and some friends are due to come over to ski in Feb, anyone have any idea how much a one on one ski lesson for a hour or two could cost? As one of our skiers is slightly less experienced than the rest of us, many thanks, Georgia.
