There is a lot to discover going downhill from the cathedral at Piazzale Girfalco at the summit of the hill. The old city of Fermo is quite vivid with many houses from a long time ago. It is amazing to see all beautiful sand brick houses, all different and with the many narrow cobbled stone alleys connecting houses and small... More

Nice easy square to visit, several cafe's on the square and several museums line the square also. Nice for a view and a picture or two but that is it.

It 'a very pleasant place, very impressive and full of inspiration. At a certain time in the afternoon, People's Square is filled with kids playing football and the locals seem pervaded by a relaxed stupor. I find this city parlor very "Felliniesque".

The Piazza del Popolo is the jewel of Fermo. The beautiful buildings around it contain the excellent city museum, the information office (with a lovely and helpful multilingual woman in charge), coffee and pastry shops, restaurants and stores.

A beautiful small Piazza in the city of Fermo in the south of the Le Marche region in Italy. It has an antiques market one evenng during the summer and there are several excellent small cafes and restaurants each side of the main Piazza, including the Café Theatro which is expensive but worth one visit!

This square is very interesting for artistic things (churches, picture gallery, public library...) but there's little to do... Sometimes you can find some events (like this year, there are Christmas shops and skating track. They're very funny)

Wonderful location. Interesting architecture but there's very little to do. Some guided tours to find the secrets of the town would help. When there is an event is a wonderful place.

Bel posto in una bella città. The ambience is beautiful, I like the arches, the library (just up stairs in the main building) as well as the nice ice creams shops

The piazza's magnificent, with its loggias and the Palazzo dei Priori, but like many piazzas in Italy (especially in the Marches for some reason), it struggles to find a raison d'être in a world where people spend much of what free time they have sitting in front of the television, conduct their social lives by telephone or text message, prefer...
