La chiesa è facilmente raggiungibile dall’autostrada ed ha un comodo parcheggio. Esternamente è curatissima sia per quanto riguarda il verde che l’architettura. All’interno gli affreschi dietro l altare sono suggestivi. Spesso è scelta come location per cerimonie perché è veramente suggestiva. Aggiungerei soltanto una maggiore attenzione per la segnaletica perché mi sembra scarsa.

Abbazia eretta nel XI Secolo, i monaci dell’abbazia bonificarono le paludi circostanti ed eressero, accanto alla stessa, un lazzaretto in grado di ospitare in un primo tempo i reduci delle Crociate, poi i malati del circondario.
Restaurata alla fine degli Anni ’90, è caratterizzata dalle sue piccole dimensioni e le tre navate che la compongono sono impreziosite da numerosi affreschi; piani di vetro inseriti nel pavimento consentono al visitatore di vedere le antiche fondamenta.
Detto che nelle navate laterali sono appesi numerosi quadri di ex-voto, il convento accanto alla chiesa è attualmente in restauro e il rigoglioso giardino che circonda l’abbazia la rende scena privilegiata per i matrimoni.

Partendo da Fermo, lungo la strada che porta al mare, sulla sinistra, si incontra una bella chiesetta ben tenuta, immersa nel verde. Restaurata negli anni 90, era in origine un'abbazia – San Marco alle paludi -eretta nel XI secolo.L'abbiamo trovata chiusa.

L'Abbazia è piccola, ma affascinante. Peccato che era chiusa e non ho potuto visitare l'interno che, ha detta di molti, è particolare per gli affreschi

Nous avons passé un joli moment à découvrir cette abbaye. C'est loin du centre ville mais proche de Lido di Fermo (et donc de la mèr).

bella chiesetta antica in periferia del comune di Fermo, merita una sosta se si è di passaggio, un luogo religioso che rivaluta la zona non molto conosciuta

Percorrendo la strada che da Fermo porta al mare passando per le paludi s'incontra a sinistra una chiesetta ben tenuta immersa nel verde. E' un 'Abbazia eretta nel XI Secolo, le cosiddette paludi furono bonificate dai monaci agostiniani che costruirono nello stesso posto un lazzaretto per ospitare i lebbrosi.
E' stata poi restaurata alla fine degli Anni ’90, all'interno è possibile ammirare affreschi non di grandi autori ma pur sempre interessanti.
Un giardino sempreverde circonda l’abbazia, ben curato, forse anche perché è una chiesa scelta da tanti per celebrare matrimoni. Vi consiglio di visitarla -

Stupenda chiesa dell'anno Mille, iniziale ricovero degli Agostiniani per i reduci dalle Crociate, è stata restaurata sul finire degli anni Ottanta per tornare ad uno splendore austero e pieno di spiritualità.
Le tre navate interne sono ricche di immagini sacre, affascinanti.
Il luogo spinge ad una preghiera semplice e raccolta.

Non ero mai stata in questa Chiesa e non conoscevo la sua esistenza finché non siamo andati a un matrimonio. È una chiesa perfetta per un matrimonio elegante, piccola ma perfetta per contenere comunque un po' di persone,antica e un po' bomboniera. Vicino all'uscita dell'autostrada e con un largo parcheggio è molto comoda da raggiungere.
