A lot of Vietnamese make day trips to visit the cemetery and pay their respects to the thousands who died in Con Dao prison. Its imperative you dress respectfully with long pants and cover your shoulders. You won't be allowed access if you don't.

It does not really matter if you visit by day or night, this is a beautiful place! Be sure to dress accordingly. The cemetery is the main reason for the Vietnamese tourists to visit the island.

Peaceful and beautiful cemetary, make sure you're wearing some overknee pants or skirt and a longsleeve top.

In Vietnam war, around 200.000 prisoners brought to here and more than 20.000 died but around 2000 remains were found and they are rest in this cemetary.
