This is a beautiful & splendid Adam house set in stunning grounds offering spectacular views over Midlothian to Edinburgh and the Forth, the tour hosted by the owner & her daughter is so full of history and family detail .
Me and my Wife visited the house today and had a very interesting time being shown around this wonderful property by the owner and her daughter. Would highly recommend a visit, the hosts are extremely well informed which makes for an interesting tour.
We went there for the firework display. Whilst the grounds and the building are spectacular, the display was lacking.
It would have been better with music or bigger fireworks.More
