Was quite surprised by the lack of people, relaxed atmosphere and superb Beach and snorkeling possibilities. Had stayed on Ko Lipe for 4 days before I made the great journey to Sunset Beach. It took me approximately 10 min walk from Pattya Beach... Ridiculous short distances on Ko Lipe, either you walk to sunrise or Under beach.. make sure to bring your snorkeling equipment, enter the water and have a great day snorkeling with great crystal clear waters. Nice food at the beach as well. Don't forget to taste the Mojito at Banana Bar on Sunset beach..best Mojito on the Island 🙌

Best beach and sea of Thailand
We send 5 days during happy new year holiday and the place is absolutely amazing!!
The clear sea,the white beach the hills full of tree in the back...an incredibly beautiful place!
A little bit crowded during 30-31 Dec but really enjoyable for the rest of the stay.
Super suggest for snorkeling and enjoy the beach!
And don’t forget...after 3 pm is mojito time😜

Beautiful ❤️
We walked a little further from the entrance coz there were a lot of dogs lying around. Found a spot with less people get the Vibes we wanted. Very relaxing. Come before 6:30 pm local time! That's when the sun starts to set.

Great beach with some snorkelling but watch the current as it shifts during the day (if you have kids) The zodiac bar is great to be near for beanbags and refreshments and no Bob Marley just cool tunes (I do love reggae just not all the time😳) . Seems you can get anywhere on the island for 50 baht.. great option!!

A nice beach which is not very long. A few expensive resorts at one end. A quiet beach perfect for just chilling out. Best part is very few boats park here. Just don't expect to see the sun actually setting.

Do go and see the sunset, but there are better beaches for swimming and relaxing. Lots of snorkelling tours and ferries, leave from nearby. Lots of stones at low tide. Can be noisy. Plenty of bars and restaurants.

Packed at sunset, with few facilities and extortionate drinks prices. Ok if you fancy an early evening walk, but don't go to too much trouble.

The beach is dirty and full of rubbish.
Road leading to the Sunset beach is not easy to walk.
Don't waste your time to go there.

Go in the evening to see a wonderful sunset over Ko Lipe. Definitely worth spending one evening there.

I've been in Koh Lipe several times and this is the best place I found.
Nice sandy beach, not crowded, still not full of tourist silly activities.
Nice snorkeling just in front of the beach, and spectacular sunset sitting at the picturesque colorful "Boom Boom bar" for an ice beer and a chat with the friendly locals.
:-)
(if you're a sailor it's also the best safer spot where to anchor overnight, and you can also find a few mooring buoy)
