Overcrowded and built up. If you have other options, maybe avoid koh lipe. It is very crowded and built up for such a small island. We wished we had stayed in the trang islands instead. The bays are choked with boats and the streets with tourists. Not what we were hoping for. Had a much better time on koh lanta.

One of the best places that I ever been! Incredible coral reef full of small island to see around, salty water and fantastic seafood!

As a young couple travelling from Canada we were shocked to see the state of this island. There is garbage everywhere and nobody is doing anything about it. We've been to Phi Phi, Koh Samui, Koh Tao and while these places are also out of control garbage wise, they didn't seem as bad as Koh Lipe. We obviously didn't do... More

Ko Lipe is still under developed, but that may be why the coral reef could survive so well. There is no easy way to get here, and there is no real 5 star hotels and restaurant in town. We went to check Serendipity. We couldn't imagine taking those steps at night. But snorkeling is fantastic. There is still a lot... More

There is to many good things to say about Koh Lipe i couldn't´t fit them all here. This is a place you have to visit! I have lived in Thailand for 2 years 1994-1996 and after that visited Thailand almost every year. There is no place like Koh Lipe left! Sadly Koh Lipe like most small popular places are explored... Koh Lipe is our most Southern Thailand exploration. This National Marine park is located farthest south from the Urban area of Thailand between Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea. The sea water quality here is the best of Thailand due to limited traffics. All National Marine Park at the Gulf of Thailand are totally out of the question. As... More

I must say Koh Lipe is an absolutely place to be and it's a pardise! The soft white sandy beach and crystal clear blue turquoise water is an absolute winner. This place calms ur nerve and give ur soul a whole new meaning of serenity. The colours of the ocean is something I can't get enough off. The island is... More

Been little disappointed - first impression after arrival (and payment of national park entrance fee) -we took a taxi, which ride us through mix of junk yards and construction sites. I was really shocked. We've spend 4 days in Sunset beach and it was all rigt, but still not the paradise we expected. I think this island is already ruined... More

Its a little slice of paradise, I flew from BKK to Hat Yai, then a van to the port and from there a speed boat to Lipe. Its beautiful great beaches, great dining options, friendly people, no cars, only a few trucks for delivering goods and tuk tuks for delivering people. They are making an effort to keep the island...
