We'd never heard of this place before, but stumbled across it when we were working out what to do with the day. So glad we found it - this place is gorgeous, peaceful, restorative and restful and would be worth visiting just to wander around...More

We visited on a slightly damp August Sunday and were blown away by the magical, slightly other-wordly feel of the garden. The planting's fantastic and you can stumble across loads of fantastic sculptures hidden amongst trees and ponds. We took wellies, a back carrier for...More

Our enjoyment of the garden was limited by the number of slippery paths. For this reason, we'd advise any older visitors to choose a dry day to visit. Handrails were in short supply. The layout of the garden with the sculptures was beautiful. The supplied...More

We discovered this beautiful oasis by accident, and loved it. We went on a Thursday (do check the website first as it's closed some days of the week) and there were only about 15 other people there which meant that most of the time you...More

Very quiet, green and beautiful! Probably not the best place to go with very young kids as there is not a lot for them to do and run around. Don’t make our mistake and don’t take a pram there. If your kid is very young...More

A really lovely garden which compliments and is complimented by the sculptures. The setting is lovely and the garden tranquil - when we visited there were very few people there but I don't imagine it ever gets that busy and if it does then the...More

This is an amazing place. The garden is beautiful. Sitting in a small valley it has a micro-climate making it capable of growing a lot of sub tropical planting - a little similar to Heligon in Cornwall. Dotted throughout is a large collection of sculptures...More

Words can not do justice to this garden. The unique setting gives a feeling of peace and calm. The sculptures work together with the natural beauty of the place. The sounds of trickling water and birdsong smooths the senses until you discover the next art...More

We visited on a beautiful spring morning. The sun was out and the backdrop of the wonderful trees and shrubs set off the sculptures displayed. We enjoyed our visit very much.

Hogweed is only a problem if you snap the stem and come in contact with the sap as far as I know...the garden is beautiful, don't let this statuesque plant put you off as it is stunning in situ.
