Boating in these 3 lakes is quite enjoyable. Not to be missed.
One should visit in cool evenings. The air is quite fresh and pleasant. Have snacks from the vendors nearby.

The Bathinda as a whole is developing into a beautiful and clean city and the lakes in bathinda are wonderful place to spend your evenings the development is happening at a great pace around the lake one such installtion is the Peninsula Mall of the HBN Group it has multiplex of over 1000 seats and is wonderful. So after enjoying boating at the lakes one can make a trip to the adjoining mall for some food and drinks.

Bathinda, known as the city of lakes, lies in the province of Punjab. It has a popular Thermal Plant, which is a wonderful, extensive space that draws in vacationers. It is likewise a most loved joint for local people, inferable from the regular excellence and quiet condition. The lake has transformed into a prime region for restful exercises like sculling, shopping, family picnics, and road sustenance.
On the off chance that you appreciate drifting, there are a large group of alternatives that incorporate oar pontoons, shikhara rides, water bikes, parasailing and gathering sculling. The nearness of tidbit shops and restaurants around the lake territory makes for an entire family excursion. The entire lake zone has a quiet and happy environment, with brilliant daylight in the winter months and a cool wind amid the late spring nighttimes.

Bathinda lake is very close to the Thermal power plant. It is a very big lake where large number of tourists as well as local public go for morning and evening walk. In the evening, people go for boating in this Lake. The boats here have been modelled on 'Kashmir-style 'Shikaras'.
There are lot of eating joints around. People also, play music and enjoy their evenings. No fee for visiting the lake but boat ride is on payment.

There are not so many places in Bathinda where you can go for recreation. It is the one where you can enjoy the boating too. But beware of vehicle thief, so better park your vehicle inside paid parking. Not recommended after evening

Bathinda (many institutions, though inadvertently, use its old, but now wrong, spellings as Bhatinda) (Punjabi: ਬਠਿੰਡਾ), named after the Bhati Rajput kings, is one of the oldest cities in Punjab, India and the current administrative headquarters of Bathinda District. It is situated in north-western India in the Malwa (Punjab) Region, 225 km west of the capital city of Chandigarh. Bathinda is nicknamed the city of Lakes and was once known as Tabar-e-Hind(or Tabarhindh),[1] meaning the Gateway to India. The first empress of India, Razia Sultan was imprisoned in the Qila Mubarak fort in Bathinda.

Bathinda is home to two modern thermal power plants, Guru Nanak Dev Thermal Plant in the city and the other one, Guru Hargobind Thermal Plant at Lehra Mohabbat.[2] It is also home to a fertilizer plant,[3] a large oil refinery, a Zoo,[2] and the historic Qila Mubarak fort.[4] Bathinda is one of the biggest food grain and cotton markets in northern India, and the area around Bathinda has become a large grape growing area. It is one of the leading cities in Punjab for education.[5]

Lovely lake surrounded by settlements. Motor boat is available on rent and it is worth taking a ride. Lots of food courts around and fishing gear also available.
