Make sure you get a pamphlet in your own language when you enter (well worth it) and heaps of information to let you know how and why the Yukawa Family were important in Hagi's history. So much to see - give yourseld plenty of time.

It was a very significant visit for me personally as this is our family ancestors property. But even if not related to the Yukawa clan this place takes you back in time to a very peaceful area transmitting a deep sense of life in peace and harmony. The construction of letting the river flow in through the house was a beautiful architectural feature I have never seen before which left a deep impression. I could almost sense the presence of the life there in the time gone past. We were also able to see the almost complete family tree of the Yukawa family.
