Mildly interesting landscape and information centre but not a place to put any effort into visiting. Coffee available but average quality.

When we visited the Akiyoshi Limestone Cave, we knew there was a beautiful Plateau right on top of the cave. And our final goal was to come here. Inside the cave- take Right path at the split junction, take lift up & once outside, turn...More

Great spot to look into the Karst. Easy access with toilets, restaurant and souvenir shop nearby. Worth dropping by if you are passing through or easy to access after visiting the cave

Just a short walk from one of the entrances of the Akiyoshi Limestone Cave, on a clear day the scenery seems endless. Great for a stroll and an educational opportunity to learn about geology.

Took the lift to visit here while visiting cave. Huge area. There is a viewing gallery for a better view. Glad I visited.

Connected to akiyoahidai by an elevator which is actually located in the cave. Entrance fee is included together with Akiyoahidai ticket. Beautiful autumn view.

A wonderful view of a large karst plateau, but because it's a plateau, if you're not so interested in topography, just passing through there by car may satisfy you. It seems hard to find a nice shade of a tree, I recommend to go there...More

If you're done with the cave and need something else to do, have a walk around the area and check out the karst formations. It was nice but I've seen more spectacular views elsewhere in Japan. I do think I saw a bear in the...More

Interesting place to hike around. I probably wasn't supposed to, but I took my bicycle out and nobody stopped me. Granted, I didn't see any signs saying I couldn't do that either.
