One of the few attractions in this old town, so it's highly recommended. Close to the river and bridge. For further details on this trail, I recommend "The Nakahechi Trail; A Glimpse of Old Japan." Available on Amazon.

Don't forget to get a stamp for your booklet at this oji along the Kumano Kodo! It's an interesting place set in the village, just at the end of your day's walk.

Pretty place to stop before continuing your Kumano Kodo journey... shade, a coffee shop close by and they have a nice stamp!
