Priceline get it together! Hertz too.
Oct 2019 • Couples
This is my calmed down review of a recent travel adventure.
We reserved an auto on PRICELINE in the states for Yonago Airport in Tottori, Japan.
This is a very small town in a very small airport.
Upon arrival we went to the very small car rental agency counter. Well no Hertz signs anywhere. We inquired as best we could in broken Japanese/English where Hertz was located. Using the Google translator etc no ever heard of Hertz. We spent a great deal of time calling Priceline. Of course they were of no help whatsoever.
They said to wait until they could call us back after talking to Hertz. We waited and waited. Finally the CS person calmed back and basically said she could find anyone to help! So in aggregation I told her to cancel the damn reservation. I better not get a bill. We rented from the Toyota Rent agency at a rate much higher than expected.
So, this is another glitch of using these online services offering cheap rates and no service. How in the world we got booked on Hertz is inexplicable.
Chalked up to a lesson learn. It’s much better to book direct then through a third party, even if you pay a little more.

Possibly the smallest airport I’ve ever been to
Mar 2019 • Friends
It’s smaller than coach stations and bus stops I’ve been too. One flight each way a day and less than 20 flights a week I think. Other than airport desks, security and immigration, there are maybe 4 shops, couple of restaurants on landside and one shop airside. No water station past security so you are forced to buy bottled water from the machine. The bonus however is that there are great arts in the waiting area landside
