古い町並みをうだつの町並みと云うようで、阿波池田駅から徒歩で散策してみました。確かに道路の両側に古い家々が残っている場所があり、町並み保存地区のような感じとなっていました。前以て、阿波池田駅前の三好市観光案内所で地図を調達していたので、見学ポイントを効率良く回る事が出来ました。旧家の一部では内部が公開されていました。

私の故郷で、歴史の在る町並みです。「うだつ」はもともと防火の役割を持っています。「うだつが上がらない」という格言があるほどです。昔の町並みを見てノスタルジーに浸るのも良いでしょう。是非街を散策してみてください。

旧池田町にある裕福な家がそのまま残った街並みです。しかしながら再開発の波にもまれて所々駐車場やら空き地になっているのが今の日本を象徴しているともいえます

静かな観光地ですが、うだつが残されていました。なお煙草資料館に併設された住居には中まで入ることができ、往年の豊かさを感じることができました。
美しい日本庭園に大正時代に立てられた建物が素晴らしいです。現代のガラスとは違い歪みがあるため、ガラス面にすじが浮き出ていたりします。さらに紫檀や黒檀の一枚板でできた床の間など見所が豊富です。池田町に立ち寄ることがあれば、ぜひ訪問をお勧めします。

街並みといっても古い家は数件ほどです。うだつそのものは防火の観点から考えられましたが、その後贅沢の象徴みたいなところに移るので、裕福な方が多かったのかもしれませんね。

昔ながらの街並みが残っていますが、あまり長い距離ではなく2～30分で回り尽くせます。むしろ、道の駅に併設された藍染め舘やカフェの方が楽しいと思います。

四国の交通の要所です。たばこで栄えたころが想像できます。今は人通りもあまりなくのんびりしています。おしゃれなカフェもあるので散策は楽しいです。

いつも阿波池田駅では待ち合わせ時間が有るので大概は時間一杯まで途中下車してウロウロします。まあ一番はタバコで栄えたウダツの街並みですが。
