温泉津にある、歴史ある寺院

温泉津駅から温泉津の温泉街に向かう途中にある比較的大きな寺院。門は黒の石州瓦、本堂は赤銅色の石州瓦で、木造の古いお寺です。門前の説明板によれば、天正2年1574年開基。浄土宗の寺院で、本尊は阿弥陀如来。本堂火災の際に天井裏しか焼けなかったというエピソードが伝えられています。
