Took my breath away!!
Jan 2020 • Friends
Just down the road from the Izumo Taisha Shrune, Inasa Beach is a MUST visit!!
We caught some beautiful clouds and sun rays when we went. It was pretty windy and cold, but it was so beautiful!!!!
There is a small parking lot. It was almost full when we went, but some people left right after we got there.
There’s also a cafe across the street that must have some spectacular views. If I had know, I wouldn’t have had a Starbucks right before heading to this beach. I’ll be trying the cafe the next time I go!

A lovely beach where the Gods arrive
Feb 2020
With a little imagination, you can visualize how gods from different parts of Japan arrive this place before their gathering at Izumo Taisha. If not, the white sand and the big boulder is a sight that you should not miss. It is walking distance from Izumo Taisha.

Very mysterious and interesting! I feel the gods around me
Nov 2019
Its so lucky we came there and enjoyed the God month. I heard that all the Japanese gods came to IZUMO DAISYA, and the gods landed on the Inasa Beach ! It is very interesting!

Beautiful beach
Nov 2019 • Friends
Beside the Izumo Taisha Shrine, there is a beautiful beach. In legend, gods from here coming to japan. When we come to here, the view is best. The beach looks very charming with mix of sunshine and sea. Walking on the beach along the sea, what a beautiful scenery. We like this place so much!

Great view
Oct 2019 • Couples
It’s very peaceful environment. It’s closed to Izumo taisha so we walk about 20 min from shrine. Around sunset time there are many people waiting for capture the sunset. If you go there by train make sure the time schedule it running only once every hour.

Nice beach
Oct 2019 • Solo
It said that Japanese gods come through this beach in November , and I say that beauty itself comes through it every day . While not a place for swimming except for some daring surfers , it is a beautiful beach , feeling of sand between your fingers and wind through your hair . Can you ask for more ?

A bit of a walk - but its the beach!
May 2019 • Couples
This is not a swimming beach - it’s a walk in the sand and admire the view beach.

There is a large rock. Huge.

There are a few shops nearby - like a hardware store - not touristy.

There is nothing much else - but there is a restroom. 12 other people.

There is a bus service - but it only runs every 90 minutes or so.

Panoramic power spot
Feb 2019 • Solo
It was pretty much a wet day. Rained from Matsue to Izumo. Stopped by the beautiful historical former Taisha Station which was still under partial restoration works.

When rain stopped after my coffee break nearby Izumo Taisha, I decided to walk to the beach as there was infrequent bus services. Was a cold but pleasant 15-20 minutes walk.

What a lovely and serene shoreline with Benten-jima, a torii gate and shrine sitting on top of this rock just at the edge of the sea. Totally mystical.

Special beach
Dec 2017
It is a nice beach with Benten jima which is a holy rock. People like to touch it for power. High tide used to cover the beach but now it seems like there is more sediments deposits so the beach is extended out into the sea, according to the local guide. The beach is important for Kamiarizuki festival.
