The lighthouse area and coastline here is absolutely beautiful! The lighthouse itself is pretty, reminded me of some of the ones in New England. I came later in the day, I did not go inside the lighthouse, instead I wandered the grounds as I've been to many. Although the lighthouse is neat and an attraction in itself, I feel the location is the main attraction. There are shops and restaurants in the area and a nice trail that goes by it and beyond. The views from the trail are incredible, some of the prettiest coastline I've seen while in Japan. The drive here is quick from downtown or from the main shrine, so definitely make an effort to visit this area.

Seeing the lighthouse was my childhood dream. It is the first time to see the coastal area with the lighthouse. An amazing and unforgettable moment was going with my family and I felt a calm condition. The sound of the wave, the unlimited sea, and tweets of catbirds could totally refresh my mind. I could receive new energy.

This is the fascinating area that I was not expected before. You can release your stress and relax by sitting on the rock and seeing sea of Japan because this is a place perfectly composed of natural beauty. Also my son expressed that it was unbelievable memory and experience with such a strong waves of sea for the first time.

I saw several times Japan sea, but this time I saw it in Izumo. This was the best view of my life. I felt a little tired when visiting the coastline but when I see it, I started relaxed all my stress worries are gone. I feel refreshed and charged full of energy. This place is magic and I would love to recommend it. I always remember this place.

We went to this place during sunset and the place is truly majestic. The rock formations are stunning. Large birds are flying around. The light house is towering. The scenery should never be missed. It is a bit cold because of the sea breeze during winter thought it is all worth it. Pictures do not justify the beauty of this place.
