Picturesque road lined with Beautiful Sakura trees on both sides. Its an absolute pleasure to enjoy the beauty of this place. This should be a must visit in your itinerary if you like to travel like the locals do. far from the maddening crowds that you normally get during Hanami season.

I cycled through the scenic area, Kaizu Osaki from Oura. At the end of 4-kilometer-long line of cherry trees, stone walls along Lake Biwa were following. They were the remains of an old-time port, Kaizu. Historic streets were just behind the walls, and they were 15-minute walk away from JR Makino Station. Kaizu is the most compact historic port town in Northern Lake Biwa.

Spectacular cherry blossoms along the roadway and lake. Full bloom had passed. The hanafubuki was stunning.
