井伊家ご用達だった創業約２００年の老舗和菓子店です。井伊直弼自らが落雁用に栁の文様を彫った木型が貸し与えられていたそうです。井伊直弼が青年時代を過ごした「埋木舎」の名にちなんだお菓子「埋れ木」は、自家製の白餡を求肥で包み、和三盆糖に抹茶を加えてまぶしてあり、抹茶の風味がふわっと広がって美味しく頂戴できました。８個入りで千円ちょっとでした。

彦根に寄ったので行ってきました。代表銘菓は埋もれ木。埋もれ木は４種類あって、中の餡はみな同じで、通年販売の代表銘菓は、求肥の部分にかかっているパウダーが抹茶。季節限定は御濃茶、ほうじ茶、レモンがありました。限定のレモン味の邪気払い3個入りとあわの海(羊羹)1本を買いました。邪気払いの埋もれ木は、白餡をレモン味の求肥で包んだ1口サイズ。甘いだけでなく、レモンの求肥と白餡の相性バッチリで、甘酸っぱく美味しかった。あわの海は寒天とあずきの二層仕立てで、夕日につつまれた湖水に立つ白波をあしらった羊羹。もち米入りの寒天の食感と小豆とのハーモニーが、絶妙で甘さもほどよく美味しかった。彦根に行ったらリピ買いしたい商品です。

とても美味しい和菓子のお店

有名なお店のようで観光案内所でもらったパンフレットにも載っていました。大きなお店ではありませんがお菓子の種類は豊富。どれも美味しそうで散々迷って日持ちする彦根路というお菓子を購入。栗蒸し羊羹が上品な甘さですごく美味しかったです。会社で配りましたが好評でした。

春の和菓子がおすすめです。

裏路地を散策中に偶然見つけたお店ですが、手作り和菓子が豊富です。春の定番草餅、桜餅どちらも上品な味わいで大満足です。近所の有名店に勝るとも劣らないクオリティに得した気分です。

彦根駅でも買えます。セブンイレブンで
決して安くないけどこれだけ上品な和菓子にはなかなか巡りあえません。
老舗のお茶をやる人たちが使う格式高い店なんだろう。

「埋もれ木」が絶品

茶屋でいただいた「埋もれ木」が大変美味しかったので、お土産に購入しました。鶴屋吉信の「柚子餅」に似たお菓子に、白あんが入っているのですが、上品な甘さです。
賞味期限は１週間程度ですが、彦根来訪の際には、購入したいお菓子です。

こちらは、彦根では一番の老舗菓子屋のようです。
織部薯蕷。薯蕷饅頭の白地に緑の鮮やかな配色があって、何んとも上品。皮のもっちり感も、素直な甘さも揃っていて、最高の饅頭だと思います。

老舗の桜餅

店構えからして、きちんとした趣の和菓子店だった。店内ショーケース内に多くの和菓子が並び、迷った挙句、季節限定であった餡を桃色の薄い皮と葉でくるんだ桜餅を購入した。塩漬けにした桜葉が合い、旨かった。
