We were taken up this mountain by colleagues and supervisors of our work, as part of a welcome trip after arriving here in Katano. I'm a lover of nature and views and this one was a top notch view! Katano is a very sweet little town just outside of Osaka, still within the prefectural region.
This mountain has a great rocky top where you can rest and take in the scenery down below. I believe the mountain is about 300 & some odd meters high, and we were driven up the majority of the way to a parking lot near to top. We walked up the rest of the way, mostly with stairs and some paths, not too steep (especially compared to Vancouver mountains). From the top you could see the whole town, and on the day we were there, clear skies you could make out some neighbouring towns as well.
If you're in this area and looking for a sweet little hike, Konozan mountain is a top spot!
