The Tower of the Sun looks almost comical, but it's a grand spectacle to behold when you finally see it for yourself. It's the central landmark of the Expo '70 Commemorative Park's Nature Gardens, and after circling the grounds, you return here to exit. There's so much history behind why the Tower of the Sun was built, and what it... More

If your in Suita and have nothing to do or you just want to walk around in a park. Then go to Expo '70 Commemorative Park and check out the Tower of the Sun. Its really big. Its NOT free to get in. Its a great place to check out the hanami in the spring. The park is big, great... More

The Tower of the sun is the symbol of the Expo 70 Commemorative. It's strange to define and it is not well conserved. It's not a worth touristic point to go.

As being the main monument of Expo70 park, do not miss out on the chance to snap a photo with you and your family or friends. I find the best spot is along the flower fields with the monument at the back. The spot is on your right after you enter through the main gate. However, winter is approaching so... More

I visited this statue just because i read it on 20th century boy manga. It is bizzare but one of a kind. Its ok to stop by if you want to visit the museum and park. Several time of a year, the park will have 'light up event' in winter, fall, and spring. At that time they will shoot video... More

Hmmm. How to describe this thing? Interesting whimsical monstrosity? Upon encountering this object within the Expo 70 Commemorative Park, it struck me as mildly amusing. Upon looking at photos afterward, I wonder what the park area might have been like had it been fully landscaped without this thing? I think, perhaps, the park could have been nicer.

If you're in Osaka and you've eaten enough, seen enough costume wearing girls, enjoyed the public baths to the full, and generally soaked up the city then this park might be just what you need. It offers visitors a pleasant walk under trees and then there is of course the odd Tower of the Sun. It's tough getting a decent... More

Interesting remains of an era. The expo part itself is a relaxing stroll, the MinPaku in the part is an excellent museum worth a visit of a few hours or multiple visits. 4- 5 stars
