Great place for a long walk and get a slight feel of the local culture but SenagaJima is not a tourist trap.

Senega-Jima, used to be a great place for locals to hang out. With the building of the new, don't even know what to call it.... But there are a lot of small businesses built into... read more

Being next to the airport, it's a wonderful place to visit before you return the car or board the plane. There's an interesting road leading into the viewing area. Lots of people just park along the side of the road but there's a bigger car park near the top which has excellent views. There's a wetland type area nearby which... More

Senega-Jima, used to be a great place for locals to hang out. With the building of the new, don't even know what to call it.... But there are a lot of small businesses built into the ground side of the island. Shops are small, and include a myriad of restaurants, gift shops and local culture. Parking is not good hear.... It is connected by a causeway. Little cafes and a nice walk around it. Good for families. There is an Onsen (natural hot tub) at the Kyukyu Onsen Hotel there.

Beautiful views from this island especially from the hotel that sits atop of it. Can be difficult driving there at times especially if on a weekend withe the terrace and or a sporting event.

They have been doing a lot of work to this place. The sea wall area is well manicured and beautiful. The side of the hill now has restaurants and cafes, shops and nice places to sit and enjoy the view.

A nice island nicely planned for visitors to chill and relax. We went there with our five year old boy and we had a great time. Staying at the onsen hotel is a must! The view from hotel is breathtaking! Nature meets civilisation (aviation hub in Naha) in such a harmonious surrounding! Beware if you are visiting the island after... More

We stayed at the onsen hotel on the tiny island on our last day in Okinawa. The island is very small and takes probably around 20-30 minutes to make a full circle. We actually rented a bicycle from the hotel and took it and rode it around the island. There are a few small cafe along the scenic road. Along... More

This small little island is the perfect place to watch planes taking off from the Naha Airport. It's also got a lovely park with a few little snack shacks available to enjoy yourself.

From this quiet little island, just off the coast near Naha Airport, you can see both planes and ospery (birds) take off, land, and even sometimes, fly together. A bit of hiking and exploration will lead you to some caves that may be sacred places from years ago. There are playgrounds for children, small beaches for recreation and plenty of... More
