Driving around Okinawa we found the Peace Memorial Park. How beautiful, located in the southern part of the island. It had several gardens within.

Its very far from Naha. But its worth it. Its great to understand what people had to lived at that time and how uchinanchu had to survive. Thats why they always are looking for peace in the world. 300 yen

This is an outstanding monument to those who lost their lives in war. So many monuments and memorials that are absolutely beautiful. You could easily spend a full day here. So much history to discover.

Its sad to see how many people died in the war of Okinawa. Names of all the people who sacrificed there lives are written in stone. Just a reminder that war is bad.

You can make it, but make sure you include ShuriCastke to visit. The Peace Park is open and spacious so when on site, move quickly or you will spend your whole time there. Good luck
