The Nago Pineapple Park is great for those with young children. My son thought he was driving the whole time on that driverless cart. The park has a lot of information about pineapple and tons of souvenir that are made out of pineapple. The surprising part is that there's a dinosaur park inside where kids would love it.

The park although small, was pretty well organised for a 1-2 hour visit. From the parking lot, there will be a bus pickup through the pineapple fields with useful information on growing pineapples. It was then followed by taking an automated cart through some pineapple field and where they provided more information on growing pineapples. After which, there was a walking path where you can take some photos and a mini dinosaur park.
The largest area was the pineapple gift shop that sells and also provides sample of pineapple wine and juice, and other various snacks. You can enjoy tax free with minimum spending of around 4k yen. I particularly liked the wasabi hotate that was sold here. Sliced pineapple sold here was pretty sweet too!

Well, the Nago Pineapple Park is very accessible and has several parking spots nearby, impossible to miss (flashing colors).

The entrance fee (600 YEN/person) is simply scandalous for what they offer. The park consists in the following "items":

1. Picture taken of you before anything, with a pineapple mascot (sorry for the worker).
2. Visit in an automated ride of the pineapple plantation (I really do hope they have more, as the trips lasts for less than 5 minutes and it goes very slow, nothing very much interesting to see).
3. Picture taken of you riding the... pineapple car.
4. Go and buy the pictures (around 10 USD each) while you have a "all-you-can-eat" pineapple "appetizer"
5. Visit of a very interesting (and much larger) shell museum (what does this relate to pineapples is a mistery)
6. Getting lost in the way, while you want to go to the toilet
7. Visit of the "winery" if you can call it like that, as it is made from pineapple (from outside a couple of crystal dirty doors)
8. Visit of the Shop (with capital letters), huge as I have not seen any, where you can taste wine, champange, sweets, etc. made all from pineapple. It is like a maze, like an small IKEA, so that you go and spend more money. When you think it is finished, the shop goes on and on and on... Pay and buy something more (ice cream).

Where is the park? What do you pay for? A short ride not seeing almost anything and some pineapple to eat? This is just a big shop that put the word "park" instead to attract tourists...

Go and check the Dole Plantation in Hawaii. That is a real pineapple park.

This park is the most uninteresting park I have ever visited. But in Japan, this weird combination of awful is kind of amusing.

You learn in 3 minutes everything you need or want to know about pineapples, then you go inside and you see the most amazing display of sea shells! ... Totally weird.

They offer freshly cut pineapple for 100¥ and it's delicious.

It was part of our scheduled tour so we did it. But I wouldn't recommend it

Hope this helps

This place is not worth the money. It is a tourist trap. The only thing worth it was the free tram ride from parking lot to entrance after that everything has a fee. I personally consider this a mini Okinawa version of the Hawaii Dole plantation with a cuter twist to trick tourists to spend time and money.

A tourist trap which is more like a exhibition to sell product rather than a theme park. Be careful of the product, as some of the item might not made from Okinawa’s local pineapple or fruits, instead if you able to read Japanese, it might be from Thailand or other countries. Why you would like to buy something from other country by travel all the way to Okinawa, Japan? It doesn’t make sense at all. Price is rather expensive too.

I just visited the "park" today and it was so sad, therefore so funny, that I just want to share this unique experience...

Here is a short overview what you will see there:

You pay 600 Yen to drive around in a automatic golf car for less than 10 minutes. On the way they take pictures of you which you can buy for another 700 Yen after you arrived at the end. After you escaped this park, you enter a kind of sea shell museum (that has nothing to do with pinapples at all of course - I think they just placed it there so your time is longer and you feel you get something for your money...) and leave it to find the biggest attraction and what alone it is - a supermarket. You are forced to walk trough a shop that's bigger and longer as the pineapple ride in the car and can buy all things that exist with pineapples you can think of. Funny: The most stuff they sell there isn't even from Okinawa...

I recommend this place to no one really, but it was so crappy and pricey that I found it funny and had to laugh about it the most time of my visit. If you don't take it seriously, you can have a fun time there - if you have 600 Yen to spend nowhere else.

We just didn't understand this park at all. Was it supposed to be educational or shopping? .... probably the latter. For an extra Yen300 each, the autonomous buggy ride took us for a 10 minute ride round the park but at such a snails pace that at times we thought we had stopped. And despite being told there was an English commentary we couldn't hear a thing. Conveniently it dropped us off at the top of the hill at the entrance to all things "Pineapple Shopping". You name it - they've thought of it. Fortunately it was down hill to the exit. Fortunately that route took us down via the pineapple wine tasting area ... try the sparkling - very nice!

I it a supplement to a shopping mall with pineapple products. However, the sheer Japanese madness of the whole thing made the experience enjoyable. From the pineapple song to the fact, that you have pineapple products of all kinds (wine, soap, ...) and almost everything tries to be kawaii but at the same time totally serious. It cost only 600Y, so it is worth a try if you are nearby.
