JR新見駅から城山公園に行く途中にありました。入口にシルバー人材センターと書いてあり中に入ってよいか不明でしたが、観光には不向きなところと思いました○

新見藩成立期の遺構

　新しく新見藩が設けられ、城下町が築かれた時、この地に側用人筆頭の渡辺氏の屋敷が置かれた。今でも残る白壁や武者窓は当時のままだという。五葉の松とは新見藩初代藩主が先代の伊達家からもらい受けた松の実をまいたものだとされる。今はシルバー人材センターになっていた。

武者窓

御用人筆頭渡辺氏の屋敷がありました。左右の長屋は白壁と武者窓が貴重な史跡です。庭には種から育てた、約２８０年を経た御用の松があります。

市施設"温故館"として使用されています。

元々は、"渡辺家"の屋敷だったようで、庭には伊達政宗公から贈られた五葉の松があったそうです。現在は、新見市の施設"温故館"として使用されており、土塀と大きな門で囲まれています。門が閉じられているので自由に出入り出来る雰囲気では無いのが残念です。
