Although this giant monster factory is located in the small city Hita, but how can a beer lover skip it? You can enjoy both Sapporo or Yebisu beer tour, they also have a very nice restaurant. If you are going to stay in the hotel nearby the station, it only takes 10min taxi to get there. Finally, I specially thanks... More

I arrived here by coach from Fukuoka & was immediately assailed by the warmth of the main entrance foyer similarly reflected by welcoming smiles. Immediately ushered to the refectory for a Japanese lunch; then back to main building and upstairs for a quick tour led by a female guide and an interpreter. An informal lesson on Japanese beer drinking history... More

We went on a Sunday morning and it was dead quiet. We chose the self tour and the factory was closed so none of the machinery were running. It was a nice detour, but I don't think it was worth the trip. Luckily Mamedamachi Shopping Street was worth stopping at Hita for. The main reason we went was to replace... More

We walked from our hotel, out of town to get to the factory. Interesting walk as got to see a lot of the town. Lovely view and flowers from the grounds but they didn't cater for English speaking tourists so we didn't bother to go round the factory. Shop on site where you can buy the beer
