What I like about Japan, away from the megacities and crowds? That it is almost understated; you only see it when you hear the stories. Same for Yabakei Gorge. At first glance, there are some cliffs and mountain tops, a bridge over a river and a tunnel cut out of the rocks.

We have no choices, but have to take the 觀光巴士 because of the heavy rain. I think the 一目八景view is okay in the red leave seasons.

It was wonderful to be able to experience the natural places in Japan one way from the cities. We enjoyed a great drive through the Yaba-Hita-Hikosan National Park with Yabakei Gorge a key feature. It was a very nice side excursion on the way to Amagase by car.
