I visited with my brother and a friend. I didn't know much about the particular mangas and anime shown in the museum but one caught by eye. This was Cyborg 009 (I am now obsessed). I now know much more about the Manga artist Shotaro Ishinomori and i admire his works. I really want to visit again next time i come to Japan with a new view on what i am seeing in the unique building and great display of works. Their is a manga library on the top floor which is a nice space to read and a cafe with a nice view of the town and waterfront. I only speak a little Japanese but was not really needed to view the museum.

Lots of stuff here to see including the history of "Cyborg 009" and "Kamen Rider". You do need to be able to speak/read Japanese to get the full experience though.

i'm a manga fan, but he is before my time. The location is just way out from any interesting place, except if you happened to be nearby, then maybe it's worth a visit. Maximum 30 minutes, then you will be left with nothing much to see and do.

It’s nice visiting this museum if you are a fan of Japanese comics. I got a bonus to see Hello Kitty and friends. The most plesant thing to see is the smiles and laughs of kids and their parents. Also, I did see a band of young people playing outside the museum. They really made me energized.

Let me start off by saying I'm not a fan of manga. I did have three twentysomthing guys with me who do like manga. They weren't very impressed with the place. There was no English available (although one of the workers used her English with us). There are some interactive activities which look fun if you know Japanese (kanji) well. There are videos of the TV shows made and pages along the entrance hall of some of the cartoons. The place was clean. I just can't rave about it because I wasn't familiar with the manga and neither were the guys I took. They did have a temporary display which I personally found the most interesting.
