This is a beautiful beach to walk along and reflect. We did it in the early morning when the beach was uncrowded and the view of the water serene.

What a lovely area to meander through. It was drizzling while we were there but didn't detract from the beauty of the place at all.

Great walk and lovely setting. Bit too cold for the beach, but you can hire bikes, boat rides and take local bus, all good fun!

Due rainy weather there were very few people here. It was so different to crowded, well known Japan (but like home for Finns!) to walk on the beach and (small) forest. Really beautiful, though to see the speciality of Amanohashidate you have visit hill on...More

Walking between the woods in the road between the shores surely was not ordinary thing. It was very peaceful and the beaches was also beautiful. In here there were 2 hills which were connected by a long road full of trees. A really nice place...More

The boat trip along the sand bar is much-promoted but the narrow forest doesn’t look like much from the sea. You could walk across in 45 minutes to an hour depending on speed and fitness but the most pleasant option we found was to hire...More

This area is not considered big enough as a beach resort; but because it is in between Aso Sea and Miyazu Bay, in the mid of sandbar pine forest, you can enjoy both the sea waves and the fresh aromatic air of forest pine. The...More

This beach is closed for use until July. We visited Amanohashidate in June and beach was completely empty. Very enjoyable though.
