本当のツボは？

道の駅大山からの眺めは、前に人工の堤防のような島があって、イマイチ。
もう少し室戸に向かうと公衆トイレも設置された開けた場所がありましたが、これもどうでしょう。海を眺めている人が何人かいましたが、本当のツボはここと違うのかもしれません。

大山岬（おおやまみさき）は、高知県安芸市下山（こうちけんあきししもやま）にある景勝地だ。
夕日の名所として知られ、恋人の聖地にも認定されている。

車で、大山岬にやってきた。
岩の上に、道標が建っている。

浜千鳥公園に立ち寄った。
元高知県知事の中内力（なかうちつとむ）の書の石碑。
地元出身の作曲家、弘田龍太郎の「浜千鳥」の楽譜の石碑がある。

恋人の聖地

高知県内では、大山岬、足摺岬、室戸岬が、NPO法人が主催するプロジェクトにより「恋人の聖地」に選定されています。海を見るとロマンチックな気分になりますからね。平日のためか人影はありませんでした。道の駅から階段を下りて300メートルほどです。

近くには道の駅大山があり、軽食もありました。
少し離れたところには食堂もあり、自然界のボルダリングが楽しめるところもありました。

天気も良く海も穏やかなタイミングできました。岩の上に大山岬の文字を彫った碑があります。以前に来た時は大きな岩の横の喫茶店が営業してましたが今日は休み。閉店かな？

石積みの港に隣接して恋人の聖地に認定された美しい
海沿いの散策路がありました。近くには道の駅もあり
ぜひ寄ってほしいスポットですね！

時間に余裕がなかったが、寄り道した。太平洋の見える石垣作りの岬。

岩と海で構成された景色

エリアとしてそれほど大きくありません。道の駅大山から南のごつごつした岩場の海岸です。並行して遊歩道があり、お遍路さんがよく通っています。ゆっくりするなら喫茶岩屋からの眺めがこの岬を一番楽しめるポイントだと思います。
