This is one of the oldest train station in Japan, over 100years. It's closed to Kokubu and on the way to Kagoshima airport. It's vary good to take it as a sightseeing point. On the way to the airport after this point, you can still enjoy the local fruit /veggie market nearby.

If I had not driven around Kirishima, I might not have visited this station. It may not be easily accessible by public transport. Once you are there, you will walk around to take a lot of photos. It's more than 100 years old and the whole construction was made of wood. I was not

We made a visit to Kareigawa Station by taking Express JR train ‘Hayato-no-Kaze’, running only twice a day. This wooden station was a heritage from 1903.The train had a 5 minute brief stop here allowing passengers to rush off for photo shooting. Antique remnants were displayed
