It's been a while since I last visited!
Because it was Golden Week, I arrived around 9am before it got too crowded.
I had breakfast in the hot spring steamer with my dog, and a foot bath👣, with a beautiful ocean view.
The mascot cat? also greeted me and was very comforting.
I'll definitely come back to see the cats again!

If you've been walking around all day and have tired feet then this is a great place to sit and relax with your feet in the warm onsen water. It's possible to vary the temperature by moving closer to or further away from the source of the water. It's a great way to round off a lovely afternoon by sitting there soaking your feet as the sun sets :)

Obama itself is a quaint Onsen town. One of its main attractions is the 105 m-long onsen foot bath. It's a very relaxing way to spend an evening in the town. The surrounding scenery is quite attractive, it's situated near the shore and has a view of the nearby mountains. The temperature is good, it's not overrun by tourist hordes. There is a sort of natural steam oven as well as vegetable stalls in the vicinity a which makes for a fun DIY dinner.

Mostly in Japan, you'll get onsen but foot spa is quite a rare site.

I would say the Hot Foot 105 is indeed a very nice place. It allows you to sit there with your feet soaked in hot spring and best of all, you get to enjoy the sea view at the same time.

Furthermore, the hot foot 105 is completely free. It was a very enjoyable experience.

First of all, the Obama Foot Bath is called Hot Foot 105. This is for 2 reasons. Firstly, the Foot Bath is exactly 105 meters long and secondly the temperature of the water at the source is also exactly 105 degrees celsius, making Obama the hottest Onsen in all of Japan. Of course, tap or sea water has to be added in order to make the temperature a little cooler but even at 40 degrees celsius the Foot Bath still has plenty of bite.

As you get further away from the source the water does cool down somewhat and then at the end of the Foot Bath just before the water plunges back into the sea there is a doggie area for species with 4 legs to enjoy.

However, what makes the area complete are the self use steaming areas that you can use complimentary to cook your own food (or to buy from the shop provided) the healthy and natural way.

Bring or buy some beverages (alcoholic is allowed) and you will have a great day out eating and drinking to your hearts content. Combine this with Obama Town`s amazing sunsets over the Tachibana Bay and things won`t get much better than this!

Thank you for coming. and detailed comment. Even today, it boasts the hottest springs in Japan, with the 30 springs through the town producing over 15,000 tons of water per day that can reach temperatures as high as 105 ° C. There is more on offer than hot springs The sun setting over Tachibana Bay Fresh seafood Exhilarating water sports Warm hospitality ... Welcome to the Obama Hot Spring Resort – overflowing with tranquil kindness.

This is the longest stretch of foot bath with Onsen water.......first time doing this will shock you.... it’s really hot but your feet will get used to it quick. I would say the hotness of the water is same like the hotness you gonna feel immerse yourself in Onsen. It’s like prelude to Onsen :p but if you already been to Onsen, do dip in and let the nature “reset” your long tired walking legs in your trip.

A free of charge, 105 meters foot bath, next to seaside is worth for a short stay.

The view from this site and its setup are outstanding, the only drawback is temperature of the geothermal heating water, not as hot as expected.

A great place to sit & chat. It is surprisingly warming on a cold day even though you only immerse your feet!
